3 Star Hotels in Vang Vieng

We stayed at Sansan for 4 nights and it was the most relaxing time we’ve had during our time travelling. There is a lovely pool area and the hotel itself is set away from the main road so it is very peaceful. The breakfast is quite simple and the same each day but overall good. The rooms are lovely and big and we had an amazing view over the field that backs onto the hotel grounds. We rented a moped for 150kip for the day which seemed the same as the town. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk into the town centre, via what feels like a dusty carpark. It also doubled up as a market. Overall I would highly recommend Sansan as a relaxing stay in Vang Vieng.

The location of the address is very good. The small supermarket opposite the bar street is very lively. The environment is good and the price is high. Very recommended service attitude is also very good

A small 3-star hotel with a nice view in a good location. The room is considered in good size comes in with a comfortable bed, wifi and all necessities needed. Short walk to Nam Song River, restaurants, tour agencies, massage shops, Sakura Bar, local eatery and mini-marts. I love the rooftop swimming pool and the bar-restaurant with a nice view of Vang Vieng's sunset. The staff is very attentive and friendly. Simple breakfast with fried rice, eggs, toast, cereal, coffee, tea, etc. Great place to stay.

The best thing is that the boss is Singapore Chinese, the hotel has a swimming pool, the room is small, it feels a bit black, everything else is good, Wan Rong is very small, so the location is not important, he is in the middle of the place, the room can not smoke, but Smoking chairs and tables on each floor

Based on the online pictures and reviews we thought we were getting a real deal. The price point was less than $20usd a night. In reality, this is a less than $20 a night kind of hotel, not an amazing discounted deal. The pool and view are it's only redeeming features. The reception area is basic, although the staff do know some English. The design is a real concrete block style. The room is lacking any decor, just the bed (which is particularly hard) and a dark outdated bathroom without screen or curtain for the shower. The hotel is about 10mins walk from town, as expected, although if I had my time again I would stay more central. The hotel didn't appear to do breakfast (despite this being an option on Agoda) so it's quite a walk to the closest place for sometime eat. (Naked expresso is the pick for a coffee!) The pool was sparkly clean (and granted the rooms were clean), and the view to the mountains was lovely. I liked that they had a water cooler for filling up bottle at reception, however wouldn't stay again.

Nice hotel and an excellent location. Near to many restaurants, shops and bars. Staff were really nice and allowed us to park inside every night. Room was good also with a nice shower, only problem is the window which lacks privacy.

We are writing on the way to Thakhek we booked 3 nights on booking then extend 2 nights at this hotel . They are all welcoming and helpful . Our had updated to 301 with balcony the room comfortable and clean with nice view from balcony. Breakfast was good definitely recommend Vangvieng Trendy hotel .

We chose to stay here as our hostel in Vientiane recommended it. We only planned to stay for two night but ended up extending another 3 nights. It’s in a great location. The room was big and spacious and were cleaned everyday for us with fresh towels. Min and Dat at the front desk were excellent. Anything we needed whether it was the hot air balloon ticket, taxi or train ticket they were always so helpful and kind. Absolutely no issue with this place and for the price it was great.

We stayed here for two nights and the hotel itself was okay. Our room had previously had a large water damage on the ceiling which showed, but other than that it was fine. However you should not visit this hotel if you appreciate good service-minded management. Previous to our stay we had booked a hot air balloon ride through the management of the hotel. We had originally looked at another air balloon company but were persuaded by the hotel manager to book through her instead, as she claimed the trip would last for 1 hour instead of half an hour, which she claimed the other companies’ did. We paid the price as agreed upon and were extremely disappointed when the air balloon descended after only 30 minutes. Upon asking the manager about this, she suddenly changed her mind and said that her recommendation was based on a personal experience, where she was flown around for an hour. We made it clear that we expected a price reduction as we were not provided with the full experience we had paid for and that her guidance had been misleading. This she abruptly refused to give back part of the money and she became very unpleasant. She started answering back flippantly and ignoring our responses. We were supposed to leave the hotel a few hours later through a minibus, which she had booked for us, and suddenly she started threatening us to cancel the minibus and not help us with anything. Finally she decided to give us a 5$ price reduction (which is nothing considering we paid 95$). Definitely not a recommendation from here, which is a shame since the rest of the staff were nice.

The room is super big and nice.
