West Water Hotel

The location was decent. It's in the city centre so not too bad. They have their view as a selling point, but honestly, its not that great. You're not on the river so you have a bunch of buildings between you and it, plus there is a new highrise being built diminishing the view even more. It's quite expensive for what you get. I could have had a similar room and experience for much much less at a hostel. They also tell you that you should book all your excursions through the hotel, but they charge more than everyone else to do so. Even the taxi service to the airport that was offered was cheaper on the LOCA app. There were mushrooms growing in the shower. I would not come back.

Room was spacious Aircon almost not functioning, the ceiling fan was a savior The toilets are not that well ventilated, water keeps dripping throughout the night from the shower had and the toilet faucet Balcony is nice with great view Restaurant cafe was not drinkable - they put like 4 teaspoons of sugar in one cup In summary it was very decent for the money they charge

The room is spacious with amazing view. The staff is friendly and they can speak english. They can help you book the ticket and tuktuk to places and activities in Vangvieng.
