Nice room, but could hear the noise from the club even though the room is on the 10th floor. The hotel gave us access to the club. Parking is 55/night, a bit too expensive.

Re-checked in for one night after my Banff trip. Was pleasantly surprised to get an upgrade to a King room with bath tub. Managed to get a good hot soak to wash away the freeze from sub-zero Banff days. Check-in staff was efficient, helpful, and friendly. Room was clean and coffee was nice as usual. The wifi worked at about 80% connectivity at 6th floor (as compared to the 100% connectivity at the 17th floor) but that was good enough as I had completed all my business meetings. The i-pad provided in the room was really a bonus to guests. This will be my only choice of hotel if I were to visit Vancouver again. Thank you for the great service!

I was travelling to Canada for a conference, the hotel has a really good location very close to the convention center. The staff there are very friendly and helpful. They arrange a beautiful room with good view.

Wonderful stay in Vancouver city center! The staff is amazing. Amenities are fantastic. Dine in and lounge area would cover everything else you need! Much recommended

The front desk staff when I arrived was EXCELLENT. She took time to introduce the various places around Vancouver to visit which I felt was a nice touch that hotel staff do not provide anymore. I can’t remember her name, but pls do identify her to give her credit. She was amazing. Negatives 1. What was disappointing was that the hotel did not live up to expectations and price of being a five star hotel. The main entrance was at the back of the street. The entrance facing the street was the hotel bar. This made absolutely no sense (other than vehicle wise), as the back alley had all the fumes from restaurants and was really quite unpleasant to walk through. Felt like a 2/3 star hotel experience. 2. The hotel room itself felt tired, worn and one thing I could not accept was the MOLD and DIRT on the bath shower floors and side of the floors. It was really disgusting…. How could that not be fixed? That amount of dirt is there if it has not been cleaned thoroughly for months or weeks. There were snacks/cans in the room for purchase but they were covered in a layer of dust. 3. The hotel did not provide bottled water unless you asked from the front desk (which I only learnt on my third day when I saw someone doing so). The water they provided was in CANS. After seeing the dirt and dust I was hesitant to drink from the can or even use the glass but I had no choice. Why can’t the hotel just give bottled water in rooms?? Positives 1. Location was not bad with proximity to lots of restaurants and felt safe 2. The shower gel, cream, shampoo provided from fig + yarrow were excellent 3. Could chrome cast to the television and there was also an iPad to watch YouTube 4. Room was pretty high tech. Could control drapes, light and aircon and that kept me warm. However this shld be explained at check in. I didn’t initially know of the electronic controls till I discovered them. 5. Bedding was comfortable

Great location, but the facilities and amenities are just standard and somehow I think it has not reached 5-star quality. The corridor carpet is a bit stained and the room AC smell slightly musty. A very large window yet facing to a machinery flat roof. Overall it’s still a nice hotel but I would only recommend rooms on high floor.

This hotel is so clean and service is so nice that I felt reluctant to checkout. This time my room is a bit smaller than last stay but service is still great! When I checked out, both staff were busy with other guests to check in but manager (guess so) in yellow dress came right away to take care of checkout when he saw me standing behind the other hotel guests. He also gave me a bottle of water while waiting for processing checkout. I’ve never seen such nice service other than Mandarin Oriental would do so. I shall return for sure. In-Room dining was also great. The kitchen prepared great meal. When the meal was delivered, staff was very considerate to put the meal on top of the tray for me. This is a hotel willing to thrive on excellence all the time. I don’t see any other hotel in downtown Vancouver so keen to serve with attention to details. Would be perfect if door men and manager in lobby could remember hotel guests’ names.

Can’t express how satisfied I feel about this hotel. I always go to famous 5-star hotel for stays which can be accumulated points and all kinds of benefits while being guaranteed for quality control service. Paradox is really surprised me soon I checked in. Front desk staff was very kind and polite. Room was big and very comfortable. Condition of the room was so good and so clean that I didn’t even want to check out - feel like staying there for good. In-room dining was great. Service request was ALWAYS prompted, almost in a second. It’s so good that I actually extended my stays and felt bad to checkout when I needed to move to a new place. I want to particularly give thanks to Danielle who smiles a lot and very friendly and always keen to help. She makes customers feel so at-home. Generally, this is a jewel in Vancouver. I wish I could know this hotel earlier so I don’t need to spend more on other expensive 5-star hotel like one hotel close by but was mistreated. I’ve recommended Paradox to many of my friends and they all show interest to stay! Oh, the room is even offered with Wedgwood coffee cup. I am not a heavy coffee drinker but I drink a lot of coffee during the entire stay, just to enjoy the beautiful Wedgwood coffee cup! And the hotel gave me enough water to drink!
