CT Las Tres Palmeras - Valle Gran Rey ★★★

Pensión Amparo Las Hayas ★★★
"Very good food in the restaurant, large and tasty portions. The rooms were clean, with a nice smell. The only downside was the shower holder."
Petit Suite ★★★★
Casas Rurales Amparo Las Hayas ★★★

Residencial El Llano ★★★
"Beautiful hotel set in quite side street of small seaside town of Valle Gran Ray. Room and appartments set around a tropical garden and swimming pool. Everything is pristine and clean. The pool area has plenty of sun beds all surrounded by tropical plants and trees, birds sing, tranquility and peacefulness surround you. We had a beautiful view of the mountains from our room and garden. Appartment was spacious, clean and modern with all facilities you'd expect. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel is a short walk from the supermarket, pharmacy, restaurants and seafront. I'd highly recommend. "
Apartamentos Jardín del Conde ★★★
"We had a 9-nights stay and were very happy about this apartment hotel. The location is excellent. Our bedroom was on the side street and very quiet at night, and the pool side in the middle of the hotel buildings is nice and peaceful too (no bypassers). The weather was heavenly warm and the not-heated pool was just perfect! It is cleaned every morning. The apartment was spacious and functional. Only minus was the minimal kitchen equipment; the kitchen itself is big, good fridge, a lot of (empty) closets. Weirdest things were the owen without any pots or anything to use in the owen, and the whole kitchen did not have a single electricity plug! I don't know how did they planned that the toaster or coffee machine (which were there) are supposed to be used..? The apartment was clean and the housekeeping visited 5 days a week. A small minus that our linen was not changed, even though it was said in the hotel info that linens are changed once a week. Outside, at the terrace, we saw 3-4 cockroaches (one huge) but none inside (but they were trying to get in obviously)."
Hotel Gran Rey ★★★
"TUI moved us to this hotel because our original choice was closed for the season! The hotel is about a 1.5 hour drive from the ferry port in San Sebastian up over the central mountain on steep winding roads with hairpin bends - not for nervous or inexperienced drivers. The hotel has NO daytime or evening activities it is purely accommodation. The location is perfect directly opposite the beach and is the only hotel in VGR, which is the best resort on the island. The room was basic but clean, similar to a 1980's hotel with no tea/coffee facilities. You could get hot water from the cafe on the 3rd floor but you have to provide your own items. The large TV in the room is useless as there are no English channels, only Spanish or German. This is predominantly a German destination with lots of hikers and no English when we were there. The car park outside is public, so often difficult to find a space even with the hotel's own car park at the back. Most guests come by car so there in under capacity for the number of hotel guests. No street parking nearby either so you have to drive around the block and find something somewhere. We went 5 nights B&B because of reviews about the food and were glad as the menu was bland and uninspiring, in fact the dining room was never full with lots of empty tables. A lot of restaurants and shops were closed from June to September but there were some open further along towards the harbour at reasonable prices. The breakfast buffet was very good but the staff were slow to replenish food or crockery so we had to chase up items several times. Good choice of food but with a definite German taste. Lots of fruit and bread, juice, cava and hot dishes but nice to sit outside and eat. We'd recommend this hotel as it is the only one in the resort. We visited all the other main resorts on the island and VGR was by far the best. Be aware that if coming by car there is only one steep road out and into VGB which is very winding and can be narrow with parked cars. There are not many roads on the island anyway so wherever you go, you have to negotiate steep roads, hairpin bends, roadworks where there is no tarmac but gravel surfaces - watch your hire car! La Gomera is an interesting place, dramatic scenery, not geared up for tourists but the people are nice and we couldn't fault the staff in the hotel."
8 | La Gomera Deluxe | Apartment, 1-3 Persons. Fantastic view, great terrace ★★★
