We are staying at a regular inn when staying in Utsunomiya. The building is reasonably old, but it is well managed, so both the bathroom and the living room are kept clean and I think you can stay comfortably. There is no cigarette smell because the whole building is non-smoking. For smokers, it is a severe environment, but it is possible to smoke in the public smoking space of Utsunomiya Station for a walk 2-3 minutes. There was also a water confectionery unique to Utsunomiya for one day during my stay. I was relieved not to be with people because I could take it back to my room and eat it.
