This is my first time onsen experience in Japan. The staff was nice and taught me how to use the hot spring. The building is old yet clean and comfortable. The food is amazing. The hot spring is special. It was a great experience.

Very, very kind and the food is very delicious
The hot springs that change location every day are also the best!!
The open-air bath is the best!!!!
The only downside is that it is too rural.

This hot spring hotel is close to the JR station. The location is both prosperous and quiet. The scenery is super charming and accompanied by the river. You can also save money to rent a hot spring stall of your own. I especially choose to go at sunset time. It is particularly popular. Everyone loves the stall.

You can see the flow of the Chikugo River while using the bathtub. Even when the windows are closed, there is a 5cm slit at eye level so that people on the opposite shore can still be seen. We used the family bath for 2,500 yen for 1 hour. There was a long line at the relatively nearby Minou Sanso, but there was no waiting time here. I have used family baths all over the place, but this one has the smallest changing room. Both the receptionist and the person who guided us were young Filipino foreigners who spoke fluent Japanese. Amagi, Ukiha, Asakura and all the hot springs in this area have a lot of foreign staff. Kanji is very good.
