Nature House

The manager always made sure we had what we wanted. The room was so beautiful and the washroom was perfectly spacious. I highly recommend the buffet dinner. The pool is kept clean and the sun area around the pool is a perfect place to relax.

We loved our 2 night stay here and if time permitted we would have stayed longer. We loved everything about this accommodation. The room was just the right size, it was not overly big, but big enough for the two of us. It was clean and very convenient. Food - we loved it. We wanted the authentic rice and curry and that's what we got here. It was for dinner on both evening with little variations, but we trully enjoyed it. During breakfast we could watch squirrel and birds to come ans eat food left by the staff for them on the fence. We had a great time here and would recommend.

Highly recommend this wonderful family-run guest house with an informal and relaxed vibe and very good value for the price. Rooms were spacious with balconies overlooking a forest setting with nice bird song. Pool was very clean. Host is delightful, genuinely interested in getting to know his guests and speaks fluent English & German. We booked our safari directly with Nature House. They have jeeps onsite which makes it super easy for guests and they offer morning and afternoon safaris. A delicious curry buffet is served in the evenings. It was a 10 minute walk to the Udawalawe Elephant Transit Home which was well worth a visit at feeding time.

Such a lovely place as family run. Friendly and super clean. Great food as had evening meal and breakfast. All fresh produce as the breakfast was the best with fresh eggs and bakery. Extremely lucky to of found this place.

Loved everything, it's hard to find any faults. Rooms were really nice and we loved the family business being so involved in cooking, waiting at the tables and the informal feel of the whole place. Fabulous curry buffet and one of the best breakfasts throughout our 3 week trip to Sri Lanka served happily for us at 10am after returning from our safari in Udawalawa. Great pool to relax in and overall Nature House was incredible value for money.

Stayed for two nights on a reallast minute booking & loved it. The care and attention the owners give their property is abundantly obvious. It’s super clean, with an eye given to detail on what their guests will be looking for. We ate breakfast & dinner there, and had some of the best curry of our whole trip (the potato curry was magnificent!). We used the laundry service which was done in under 24hrs, so a super quick service for our two night stay. The pool area was a delight to use in the downtime from our planned activities. If I stayed again, I’d love to enjoy one of their bigger rooms. We were just lucky to snap up their last remaining room. Everything about the Nature Hotel was a delight (apart from the mosquitoes but even then the owners had josticks burning outside the rooms to try and deter them; and the mosquito nets were there for use, even tho the rooms had AC). Wouldn’t hesitate in recommending.

Me and my family, (dad, mum and two young adult boys) visited this marvellous hotell. It was a perfect place to stay in in combination to go on a safari tour at Udawalawe national park. The rooms was clean, the food excellent and the service top notch. The owner was a remarkable nice and over the top service minded gentleman. The pool was extraordinary well kept. There are so many details all over this hotell in the structure regarding the interior, food and service that you suddenly see or discover during the stay all originated from the owner. The hotell has only 7-8 rooms and was full during our stay. Are you looking for a wonderful stay in this area i urge you to book this hotell in advance, the price are also very affordable i must say.
