Staying here, is one of the great experiences in the World! I've travelled extensively in my lifetime but of all the places I have stayed, this is perhaps the most memorable. The views of the lake from the rooms, the garden and especially the rooftop restaurant and bar are just outstanding. Watching the sun set across the lake, behind the mountains, with drink in hand is magical, as is having a meal looking at all the lights reflecting on the water. The interior is a wonderful extravaganza in white marble, and the rooms superbly charming. Ours had a private balcony with lake view, and even a swing! Superb large, comfortable beds as well. Food was great, and reasonably priced. If you want a modern. International chain style hotel, don't come here. But if you want a beautiful, ro***tic setting and olde-worlde charm and character, you won't do better anywhere than the Hilltop Palace. I've been twice - first for business, and I loved it so much I swore I'd bring my family one day, and now I have fulfilled that wish, and I hope I get back here again one day. But if I don't, then I'm so glad I've had the chance to experience it. Perhaps the closest hotel to heaven on Earth!

Enjoyed the property and visited some of the neighborhood. Well known artist is in area. Good Food options and nice roof view of area and lake. Very good staff and most efficient checkout.

Beautiful and well-maintained. Pros: 1) Picturesque view from room (please select lake view rooms) 2) Well-maintained property 3) Beautiful rooftop restaurant which also leads to a sunset point 4) In-house store where you can buy Rajasthani artefacts and clothes 5) The food: keeping this at the bottom as my family members though they're okayish; however, I think it's great value for money Cons: not much. The swimming pool is not well maintained, but no-one seems to care, as we were not there for the pool anyway

This hotel is located on the top of Lake Fatehsagar, which gives you a amazing view of Udaipur City and lake FS. Enjoyed sunrise and sunset with superb reflection view in the lake. Nice, big and clean rooms with balcony. Restaurant and food is really awesome. I would like to convey my special thanks to Mr. Om Singh for his amazing hospitality and support during my stay. Keep up the great work team Hilltop.

Hotel does not have to offer anything then view. Rooms, maintenance and reception in pathetic state of affairs.. Reception folks don't pick the call, most of the things are damaged in room and you have to struggle with the things. ***agers udit generally don't pick call and hotel is mostly unresponsive to things.

The location is top notch which gives you a mesmerizing view of Fateh Sagar lake. The room was tidy during my stay and the staff was polite and helpful. Slight improvements can be done to breakfast quality and check-in timings. Overall, it is a nice place to stay.

The roof top restaurant has an amazing view of the lake...candlelight dinner on the roof top is the best thing that you can enjoy staying at Udaipur. Rooms are not up to mark as this a old hotel...and lot of renovation is still required. However, the location is one of the best and is affordable within budget, similar hotels around with the same view of the lake are much costly.

Terrible experience!!!! Waste of money! Worst hotel service in the world! No staff knows how to talk with customers! Pool was so dirty and they were not able to clean from 3 days!!! You can expect better service and room in 1 star hotel than this.
