We arrived and parking was good and nearby. As a disabled blue badge holder, there was a good amount of disabled bays and it was free when I presented my blue badge at reception. Check in was quick and efficient. Only one of the two lifts was working, but the hotel didn’t seem too busy so this wasn’t a problem. We had a room for 2 adults and a child, so a double bed and a bunk bed. The room was small, but we only needed it to sleep and so it wasn’t a problem. The cleanliness of the room wasn’t good. The floor was so filthy, that we just threw our socks away because of how black they were. The mattress on the single bunk bed was absolutely disgusting. I have attached photos. The sheet was just a piece of material folded in half, and wasn’t tucked in or anything which is how we noticed the dirty mattress. It was late when we noticed it, so I sent photos and an email to reception, who immediately offered us breakfast free of charge. We declined the breakfast as we already had reservations elsewhere, and we saw that breakfast was very poor with little on offer. The manager then replied and refunded our stay and cleaned the room. The management/reception team were lovely and sorted things swiftly. We would stay again and have stayed in many Ibis hotels, but I will be checking the cleanliness of them closely in future.

It was a good hotel with all the amenities in the hotel. The size of the rooms are pretty small but okay for an individual. best part about the hotel was the location, it is very close to Airport ( you can just hop on the london bus ).

I used to work for Shell, and so visited what was then known as The Lensbury Club many times. We booked The Lensbury Resort in a fit of nostalgia. Not much has changed in the 30 years or so since I last visited. The rooms are comfortable and our Deluxe Double was quite spacious, with a large sofa, plenty of wardrobe space and a modern bathroom that included a nice bath as well as a large shower cubicle. On the downside, the main dining area is cavernous and little has been done to make it feel more inviting. The food is quite average and the chef has made some odd choices: for dinner, the Thai cauliflower & chickpea curry is more Indian than Thai and had little flavour. The lamp rump was tasty. The ”hot chocolate with whipped cream” came with no whipped cream and when we asked, we were told there was no whipped cream. Most bizarrely, from the lunch menu the BLT was seasoned with a mountain of thyme in the mayonnaise - a very odd combination and not one that works at all well. It's also annoying to be reminded more than once that ”service charge is not included.” The pool is OK but there were a lot of young children at the weekend so not particularly enjoyable for swimming lengths when you have to avoid kids bombing into the pool. The piece de resistance though was being woken up at about 4am when some new arrivals tried to get into our room. They tried more than once even though we answered the door and told them it was our room. They showed us their key and it had indeed been noted with the same room number as we were in. After that we were also visited by security who clearly thought we were lying about it being our room. We mentioned it at check-out and were told to complain in writing.

I stayed here a couple of times but the last time was the last! I booked in and paid in advance then on the day, I checked in and offered my photo ID as I had done previously and it had been accepted before, however on this occasion I was refused check-in as they had now decided only a passport would be acceptable which I didn’t have. The unhelpful staff and then the manager offered no solution and just shrugged and said “nothing we can do”. It should again be noted that my photo ID was acceptable before but not now – it should also be noted that the confirmation email only requested “photo ID” which I provided. No specific ID was asked for. So it seems this hotel makes up the terms and condition s as they go and seemingly change them when they feel like it! The room had been paid for so there was no chance of my running off without paying. After some time I finally resolved this by my husband racing home and emailing a copy of the passport which was grudgingly accepted otherwise my I was looking at nowhere to stay after an early, start at 4 a.m., a very long day then finally the hopeless staff at this place refusing entry to a customer who had paid way in advance causing a lot of stress! The receptionist told me they needed the passport to verify the address – however my address is not in the passport so this is a bit confusing. The manager confirmed this as well as confirming no entry and no help. This is really terrible service as they could have easily verified the address with other documents I had but this was not accepted – my ID clearly showed me as senior management at a local large organisation but the staff were unhelpful and seemed totally disinterested that I would have nowhere to stay – this part of London gets booked quickly hence my booking way in advance so the likelihood of getting a room somewhere else was very remote. It would have been simple to verify me but the staff were more interested in being difficult. So my feeling is the staff had maybe screwed up with another customer and had decided to ad hoc changes to the terms leaving me almost stranded. It could also have been a method of releasing a room for someone else – maybe a friend of the hotel. Who knows but I would be very careful using this place as they seem to have some very dubious and “flexible” terms for staying here and you may get caught out. I will never book here again and as a vice president of a large global organisation that hosts many international clients, I would certainly not recommend this place. It's short sighted of this hotel to be so unhelpful as they will have lost business but their lack of help displays a clear lack of interest in the customer. Please book here if you are happy to risk sleeping on the park bench instead of a hotel room! No doubt the hotel will quote they have to have the passport but given it was not required a few weeks before and is not requested on the booking confirmation then decide for yourself. There was a

The room is well-equipped and is about 200 meters away from Heathrow Airport. It is clean. The room is not big. There is a small bed and a double bed. It is suitable for families. The service staff is also very enthusiastic. The WiFi is not connected. However, it is a transit accommodation at the airport, so I don’t care too much! The scenery around the hotel is very good, and there is a small supermarket near the subway station for shopping! The price is also relatively affordable in the vicinity, it is worth recommending!

After a 12 hour flight, staying at Moxy was a welcome relief. Check-in was easy and the front desk staff were very welcoming. They explained everything we needed to know so we could enjoy our stay. The room was spacious for a family of 4, it was clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was amazing. There was a large selection of food and drinks ajd was a great wah to start the day. There is a small gym on the ground floor which is well stocked with a variety of exercise equipment. The theme and decor of the hotel is modern and artistic. Locstion wise, it is easy to get to from Heathrow Airport. Overall, we had a great stay and wished it could have been longer.

The hotel is good. However, 2 children/2 adults cannot stay in one room. I booked 2 single rooms + multi-rooms. There is an additional charge for additional children. 10 pounds/day/person. There is no swimming pool, so if you want to swim with your child, book at the Harbor Hotel Richmond next door.

The hotel is very new and the location is small, and the room is small. I have become accustomed to this kind of experience in London. The front desk was very enthusiastic to help solve the problem. Due to the itinerary change for four days, the room that was not canceled was immediately confirmed. It was also refunded under Ctrip communication. In a foreign country, both the hotel and Ctrip are as warm as winter.

GGuest User 2023.02.24
This hotel is very convenient for the St. George’s Hospital - it’s literally in the grounds of the hospital. It’s a three star hotel and I would say it’s towards the lower end of the three star spectrum. The staff were very good, and the amenities for a three star were as expected. However, there is a huge problem with the cleanliness of the carpets and upholstery. They are disgusting! They are stained all over the place and it’s makes the atmosphere of the room feel very dirty - you just don’t know what on earth you’re walking in or sitting on. It’s a shame because the general cleanliness of the room is good and as you would expect, so the cleaning staff do a decent job, but the stains on the carpet and chairs/sofas are just so off putting. The management/owners of this hotel should be ashamed of themselves. It is just not acceptable. They need to deep clean the carpets and upholstery as a matter of urgency or replace them immediately. Some of the stains are so awful that I doubt cleaning would remove them, so the carpets and sofas/chairs would probably need to be replaced instead. I would definitely not stay here again because of this problem. Sort it out Management!

GGuest UserStayed here for 5 nights (Sep 17-22). Check in was the better part: easy and friendly front desk although no acknowledgment of being a Bonvoy member (not big deal). However, I forgot to ask, and they did not give me the WiFi code; more on that later. Room was fine upon entering. But then started to notice things: dead light bulb, dust on the nightstands, top of the desk with peeled skin (wear and tear), and of course the TV. Now that is something from the 1990s: a 30 inch old TV, grainy picture, and a very limited number of channel with only BBC and a couple showing very old movies from 1980s. You can only watch SkySports at the bar but not in the room. The next day I ended up taking a shower in a puddle as the tub did not drain well. I told the front desk and the staff who happened to be the manager took very good notes and said he’d have it fixed right away. Well, after coming back in the evening, I checked the tub and sure enough still clogged so went down to the front desk and another staff member (appeared very embarrassed) spent a few minutes and then offered to change the room. So, after about 30 min fiddling with the reservation system on their computer we moved into another room. For some odd reason my 5-day visit was done under two reservations: 4 days as one and the last day as another one. On the 4th day reception called to move me into a suite due to the 2nd reservation. I talked to the Front Desk staff and offered that staying at the same room for the same rate was fine. The junior staff agreed as the room was available and started processing but then ran into a problem on their computer system. He asked his manager for help and he promptly rushed by, summarily waved his hand, completely ignored my presence, mumbled something like “it can’t be done,” and walked away. The junior staff was clearly embarrassed and apologized and said he'd ask another hotel manager to keep me in the same room. I asked for the manager’s name (Lloyd) and said that his behavior was rude, not professional, and not that of somebody in the hospitality business. Lloyd showed up after the room situation was resolved and apologized for his behavior. Frankly, nobody needs drama, disrespect, and being treated like a nobody. After all, I was a paying guest and a long time Marriott member!! New room was a copy of the old room except the drain was not clogged. Then the next day I noticed the bathroom bulb was dead. Called the Front Desk from room, but nobody would pick up. Within a span of 30 min I called several times but nobody would pick up, so I walked down to report it to the Front Desk. Problem was solved next day. And now the WiFi: could not find the WiFi code so later called the Front Desk but again nobody would pick up. Another in person trip down to the Front Desk and asked why they wouldn’t pick up. Answer: oh, we didn’t see the phone ring! During the entire stay the corridor on our floor always had a minimum of 3 room servi

GGuest UserI like this hotel. It is a 10 min walk from Church street where you could have some interesting things to explore. The hotel has been fully modernized and offers very quirky rooms with a London twist. If you want something a little different this could be the place for you. The room was large and very comfortable. The bed was great and so was the bathroom. The price was good too for this level of accommodation in the area .And.. the people are very friendly and helpful. I would recommend using this place.

GGuest UserIt’s a shame there isn’t a grouping for not quite average but not quite poor. I stayed here for a one night stopover whilst working in the area. Nice old pub, but I was a little disappointed to see three hand pumps for ale, none of which were available. Just your routine cold fizzy lagers from around the world. I had an evening meal from and extremely limited menu which was at best, average. The room I had was comfortable enough, but the mattress was starting to feel a little threadbare. No ensuite, so a shared bathroom and separate WC which didn’t give me a problem, but might not be for everyone. This is a lovely old building, but it comes with the things you would associate with lovely old buildings. Creaky floorboards and a few draughts here and there. Again, nothing unexpected in a building of this age, but it was a case of once someone started moving in their rooms, the creaky floorboard sounds made it both difficult to get to sleep and meant an early undesired wake up call. You get what you pay for, and my stay wasn’t completely unpleasant, but would I stay here again? Possibly, but I would consider alternatives first.
