My wife and I stayed here for the first time last week. We live an hour away and came to celebrate my birthday. The hotel is built next to the Black Warrior River in the newly renovated River Park area which is a short walk to many bars and restaurants. There is also ample parking. The property itself is modern and very clean.. The Front Desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was 523, just a few doors from the Rooftop Bar. Our room was immaculate, very comfortable, and offered a nice view of the river. We visited the Rooftop Bar participated in a Rose’ wine tasting with a portion of the proceeds going to the local food bank. There we tasted some really good wines and had the pleasure of meeting the Hotel General Manager, Cassie, and the Assistant General Manager, Daniellie, who went out of there way to ensure we had a fantastic stay. Later that evening, we sat on the outside deck and enjoyed the nighttime view of the city. We will definitely return, making this hotel a regular for weekend getaways. We were traveling to visit our daughters family and made a quick overnight stop here, The rate was great and like to stay at Marriott (my sister work for corporate for a long time). The hotel was clean and the staff was great! But my one complaint and the reason for the 3 star was the bed was awful. I have never been in a Marriot hotel where the bed was so uncomfortable I actually went to the sofa for a while in the middle of the night. i used to love a Marriot bed but now I am not sure where I stand. We left too early for breakfast but the coffee was great!

Nice property but hard to find, as it is tucked back behind a commercial area, well of the street and out of sight. Of course it was after dark and raining when we got there. The room was clean, everything in good order, and very quiet the night of our stay. We generally will choose a Hilton Garden Inn when traveling because of the convenience of their onsite restaurant. We did not have dinner that night at their restaurant as we were visiting family in Tuscaloosa. However their breakfast was very good with a large selection of both hot and cold breakfast items, fruit juices, and fresh fruit. The cook was extremely accommodating and cooked my eggs and my wife's pancakes to perfection. Great restaurant experience.

My husband and I and our son had an okay stay. Quite safe . The only thing we weren't happy about is paying full price 131 00 no notice when booking that they are remodeling so there was no breakfast and just a man sitting at the front door with a small table and a computer checking people in the whole down stairs was a mess. I felt bad for the man cause he was the one getting all the complaints from upset guests. But on a good note our room was very clean and the beds are comfortable....

This hotel is very new and high quality. It is very walkable to the stadium and campus. It has a nice rooftop bar and restaurant. It is also a block away from a great selection of restaurants in downtown. The gym equipment is all brand new and the fitness center gets a bunch of natural light, which is great while working out. The whole hotel was very clean and all of the staff were extremely friendly.
