This was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. This is the first and only bad review I have ever written in my life, for any hotel or motel that I've ever stayed in. We came to Tulsa to attend a funeral. After a good night's sleep, I had planned to take a shower before going to the funeral that same morning, but the water diverter would not work. it would only work for a bath option. I reported the problem to the manager, as I thought maybe I didn't know how to use it. The manager agreed that the water diverter on the spout was not working probably and offered to move us to another room. I didn't have time to move to another room and still make it to the funeral in time. So I went down for breakfast. There were no breakfast options other than high sugar and high-carb foods, nothing healthy or appropriate for a type 2 diabetic diet. So I had coffee and a banana. After going to the funeral without a shower, we were move to another room. The room we were moved to did have a shower that worked. But the king size bed mattress in room 229 was so broke down on each side that it was like sleeping in a New York pothole. I finally put a pillow in the pothole to level out the mattress so I could get a little sleep. The next morning I went down for breakfast again, and the same thing, mostly cold breakfast all high carbs, high sugar the worst breakfast options I've ever seen in a Marriott. However they did add a low sugar low fat yogurt. The manager did say they were shorthanded and couldn't offer their usual hot breakfast an other services. There are no microwaves in the rooms either. which is kind of strange.

Before I get to specifics let me say that this hotel has the amenities of a Motel 6 but it's in a glammed up wrapper. In our room there was no microwave, no coffee pot, a tiny refrigerator and no closet (just a few hangers on pegs). There is only one ice machine on the first floor. The two USB ports built in the desk were broken. Even though we came two weeks after Day Light Saving's Time no one had taken the time to re-set the clock in our room. The free breakfast is mostly carbs. There was a pre-wrapped breakfast sausage biscuit. Our specific problem was that neither my husband nor I could get on line with our computers. We spent a lot of time trying and both went down to the front desk at different times with our computers but we weren't ever able to connect. This was extremely inconvenient and a big waste of time. The gentleman who helped us (I'll call him Tom) said he would leave a message to the staff member who would be working in the morning (I'll call her Anne) stating that we would like some kind of compensation. The next morning, Anne said that Tom hadn't given us the correct password and that was why we couldn't get on and that she would not give us any kind of refund because since we booked through Hotels.com, Avid didn't get their full rate. She told me to call Hotels.com. I explained that if Avid's employees were poorly trained that was not Hotel.com's fault and she should give me a percentage of what I paid to make up for the inconvenience. She kept insisting I call Hotel.com and said they would call her to OK a refund. I asked what refund amount she would OK and she said that she would not OK any amount. I am stunned at the poor customer service I experienced. It was all excuses and trying to foist me off to Hotel.com even through it wasn't their fault. I called Hotel.com after checking out and they graciously gave me a $25 credit. Avid could take a lesson in customer service from Hotels.com.

From the time I walked in until the time I left, everything was top-notch. A very kind young man by the name of Morgan welcomed me. After glancing around the exceptionally clean lobby area, I said, what a nice hotel! With a look of pride on his face, Morgan said, wait until you see your room! I could tell he was invested in his workplace and he was right about my room. It was exceptionally clean, spacious, and very well appointed. After taking my bags up, I came back down to ask Morgan about a nice quiet place to eat. I explained I had spent the day with a lifelong friend of 70 years who was in a nursing home, under Hospice care, and not expected to live. He displayed genuine concern and compassion that you don’t often see anymore. He was on duty a couple of nights later and asked about my friend. I told him she had passed away that very afternoon. He told me he was so very sorry and asked if there was anything he could do or if I needed anything. I was touched by his sincerity. On another note, the breakfasts were delicious! There was quite a variety of things to choose from and the young lady (Isadora?) in charge of the buffet kept everything supplied well and was very personable while doing so. My stay at your exceptional hotel made the sad reason for my visit to Tulsa much more bearable.

Nina at the front desk helped me and she was awesome! I needed some help with printing several documents that I had misplaced and needed for a meeting. When I went to the front desk to ask for help, Nina was there with a smile and asked how she could assist. She quickly stopped what she had been working on and insisted on helping me right away. Nina printed the documents that I needed and delivered quickly. This was the only time that I have been in a pinch like this and needed help immediately and I was so happy that Nina was there to help me. She is great!

Had a one night stay here (in 2 separate rooms) while visiting local family after Christmas. Staff was very friendly and accommodating throughout the stay. Loved the layout of the deluxe king room; larger than some suites. The seperate sitting room with couch and the bedroom back along the hallway past the bathroom. It was also a mileage trip as I needed one more stay to hit Hilton Gold for 2023. We enjoyed the breakfast (still a little pricy) in the lobby before heading out. Right off the turnpike and close to fun spots on the south/east side of town.

Comfortable bed in king mini suite on 4th floor. Very clean, nice pullout couch (which we didn’t use), huge tv, nicely appointed bathroom, tub/shower, only noise was from road traffic. Almost next door is an awesome Cannes Chicken! It was drive thru only due to pandemic and line was around two blocks but still worth waiting for. Many good restaurants nearby. Hotel staff were excellent and friendly. Breakfast lady was great & kept that delicious coffee pot full! Free hot breakfast which smelled delicious was available which we unfortunately bypassed. Maybe try on next trip thru tho

The hotel was quiet & clean. Had the coolest refrigerator I have ever had in a hotel room, it was great. The only down fall was I didn’t know if you want a microwave you had to request it when you booked the room. I have never stayed at a hotel with no microwave in the room. Staff was very kind & friendly. We had a room facing the parking lot so didn’t have the highway noise. If in the Tulsa area will for sure stay here again.

The hotel has lots of company workers booked here and it really drags the hotel down. Lots of dope being smoked near entrances. If you don't get to breakfast early the food is all gone with little or no restocking by the staff. They seem to be ok with this. Our room was clean and in general the hotel is not located near any major roads so, except for the HVAC, it's quiet. My wife who could sleep through anything couldn't sleep through that racket. HD ear plugs and two pillows for me. Because of my error check-in was a nightmare. The front desk was as helpful as she could be. But everything in the ”business area” was out of order which made it impossible to print out the correct vouchers except by a long process which aggravated everyone and ended up not working. By the time we got through the process a second time the reservation had been cancelled and everything had to start from scratch. Needless to say it took over an hour for check-in. While we were there we witnessed some of the worst customer service ever. A traveler had bugs in the room. She took pictures and showed it to hotel staff. They did nothing. She tried again with new pictures, no effort by staff to rebook her, spray the room or anything. She showed pictures to the custodial staff, again nothing except blank stares. If I hadn't witnessed this two day long epic cluster I might have rated the hotel as average.
