The parking fee wasn't mentioned in the reservation confirmation call so I had to pay 1,000 yen. I was a bit disappointed because nothing was said about it when I called to confirm the reservation.

While this hotel was closed, I was having trouble finding good hotels where I could stay for business, but when I heard that it had reopened, I decided to use it right away. Unlike before, the whole room smelled like pickles. There was a smell of recess (?) when I entered the room, so maybe they noticed it when they cleaned it and took care of it, but it didn't go away at all. I didn't change the room because I checked in late and the linen and bathrooms were clean, but it was a shame because the previous stay was much cleaner and more comfortable.

I went to Tsukuba for my husband's business. JAL City was the cheapest hotel in the Nikko group, so I didn't have any particular preferences, so I chose that one. The bed was a semi-double, so even when my husband and I slept together, it didn't feel particularly cramped and we slept soundly. It was nice to be able to choose what I needed, such as coffee sticks, tea packs, and amenities in the lobby. There were no shortages of equipment in the room, and it was comfortable, but it would have been better if the toilet seat in the bathroom was warmer.

2024年3月末の週末は25℃の夏日でした。部屋の空調は、暖房しか作動しない。諦めて空調を消したものの、なかなか涼しくならない。夜中になっても部屋が暑くて眠れず、フロントに電話したところ、「今は冷房は使えない設定になっているので、窓を開けてください」と言われました。窓に網戸がないから虫が入ってくるし、花粉の時期に窓を開け放って寝たくありません。異常気象で、突然暑くなったり寒くなったりするこの時代に、時期によって冷房しか使えない、あるいは暖房しか使えないって、あり得ません。

JAXAに行くために、利用しました。 予約時にはツインが取れませんでしたが、到着時にお聞きしましたところ、変更していただけました。 お部屋は明るく、照明も部屋の大きさの割に多くて、良かったです。 （ほのぐらいのがあまり好きではないので） お風呂もお湯がたっぷり出るので、お湯を貯めるのに時間がさほどかからず、よかったです。 駅からは少し歩きますが、寝に帰るだけの利用ならば、問題はありません。 また、つくばへ行くことがあれば、利用したいと思うホテルでした。 （サービスの粉コーヒーはイマイチでした→ドリップタイプが良かったなぁ）
