The service is enthusiastic and the environment is good, but the food and beverage is barely okay in the evening, but not in the morning.

It should be a crime what they charge for these rooms. We got a no meal plan and it was still over ¥20,000 a night. The walls and paper windows were all stained. Furniture was sticky. The mini fridge, a/c, and bathroom were ancient and kept rattling and humming the entire night. There is no sink and mirror in the bathroom so you have to use the bar in front of the big window. The onsen at this place was also old and outdated. I understand the selling point of this place is that it's ancient, but that doesn't excuse them from never upgrading the electronics. Also, if you have problems with stairs, choose a different place. The stairs are shallow and steep. No elevator. The staff was very unfriendly. When there was staff at the lobby, we got yelled at to leave because they didn't remember us and thought we weren't staying there. Often there was no staff at the front, even during the daytime so anyone can walk in and out of the hotel. We had them hold our bags after checkout and they just had our bags sitting in the lobby with no staff around. I walked out with my bag without anyone saying anything. What if it wasn't my bag? Our friend had a room at a Ryokan down the street and it was half the price and the rooms were much better. This hotel's location may be centrally located, but the street isn't very long. I'd rather walk the extra 5-10 minutes and stay elsewhere.

A stay of 3 days, 2 nights in this very beautiful and welcoming riokan. Everything was up to our expectations and compliant: the welcome, the kindness of the service, the delicious, very refined meals with a multitude of dishes, the room and the Kinosaki atmosphere. Thank you to all the staff for this experience in the heart of Japan

This is the second time I have stayed at Kinosaki Onsen, and I chose this ryokan because I wanted to stay in a central inn along the river to enjoy the hot spring tour. In terms of scenery, I was thinking of a room with a riverside view, but I chose a special room facing a slightly larger garden. There was a corridor with tatami mats on the garden side, and there was a cypress bath at the back. The bath in the ryokan is small, but there is also an open-air bath. For dinner, we had a seasonal kaiseki meal in the room, appetizer, boiled crab, assorted sashimi, steamed egg custard, small pot of duck, grilled live abalone, shrimp and vegetable tempura, rice, soup, pickles, and assorted dessert. rice field. Everything was delicious, but the crab vinegar was not sour and delicious. There was a volume and the dessert was put in the refrigerator and received later. As for drinks, you can have homemade local beer in the room, and I had a grapefruit-flavored local beer. I noticed when I laid out the futon after the meal, but it was perfect with air conditioning, floor heating, and an air purifier with a humidifying function. The next day's breakfast was a little late at 8:00, but the breakfast was also served in the room and was satisfying with boiled tofu, dried fish, and porridge.

The location is excellent. It is located between Ichi-no-Yu and Yanagi-no-Yu and close to a convenience store. The popular Gosho-no-Yu is a little far away, but it's no problem. Dinner was quite delicious. Breakfast was another one. It was a large room on the first floor facing the garden. I personally liked it because it was larger than the river side room. It was a little damp and I was a little concerned about the age of the building, but the host was friendly and helpful, and it was a comfortable stay. Also, there was a frog in the garden (more like a mountain slope than a garden) that kept on making cute voices during my stay.

If you come to Kinosaki, it's natural to visit the outdoor baths, but the indoor baths here are also the best. Although it is small, it is often reserved because there are few people who enter, so you can slowly soak in the free-flowing hot springs. The service was also comfortable with a moderate sense of distance, so I didn't have to worry about myself. My children are very happy and will use them again.

The food is delicious, and the response to the corona disaster is wonderful. Onsen was also good.

Although the employees are young, they are quick to respond and pleasant. Employee training seems to be in order. The food was a standard course, but it was just the right amount and delicious for the elderly. The room was in the main building, but it was a little disappointing that it was not on the river side. I applied for it by looking at the website, but the main building is written like a river side, but there are river side and garden side, so it is better to check at the time of application. The location is located in the center of the hot springs, and Ichinoyu is almost next door, so it is convenient to go anywhere.
