We enjoyed our two-night stay. This is an older hotel but is well-maintained, comfortable and impeccably clean. Hospitality was great and so was the breakfast buffet. The latter had an excellent selection of items, including fresh vegetables and fruit. There were some nice unexpected touches, too, such as lactose-free milk. The hotel is about a 10-to 15- minute walk to the historic district. A Netto supermarket is nearby. We travel overseas at least six months each year and this is the kind of accommodation we like and appreciate.

I have called the hotel to book a room. The price with breakfast for a double room was 400PLN (800PLN two days). The receptionist asked to make a bank transfer of 400PLN to book it, and I did. We arrived in the hotel, made check in and had a nice weekend in the city of Toruń. I would say that it’s a bit overpriced but very clean hotel. The breakfast had everything and once we ordered from the restaurant the food was amazing. On the checkout I was asked to pay 808 (price for two nights plus a tax), which is the full amount. The receptionist couldn’t find my deposit. I had to show her my bank account to believe that I have paid in advance the 50% of the price. Getting here to leave a review, I realise that the price via booking is much cheaper than this one I was offered for the same type of room. Funny thing, the hotel does not provide housekeeping due to Covid except if you request it.

A business trip was coming up, so the company gave me a budget for accommodation. I had to find accommodation in the center of Toruń, so I chose the "Filmar" hotel without hesitation. What captivated me from the very beginning was the friendly service - without exception! (I guess) The manager smiled sincerely. This is the best incentive to come back again! The hotel is incredibly clean - for "Filmar", as you can see, it's obvious! When I asked for an iron, it was already waiting for me when I entered the room! Breakfasts here are also great, eggs, cold meats, various cheeses! The hotel restaurant also offers a lot: shrimps, eggplant, chicken liver... The chef will take care of every palate, and this is of great importance to me!

The room was tidy and comfortable. The dinner at the restaurant was terrible, the decomposed tartare was nothing special but the ribs with pineapple were not good, too fat and then the pineapple didn't fit at all and then with the barbecue sauce... I couldn't eat them.

Stayed for work. Large and clean room, but not very functional in terms of details (uncomfortable sockets) and slightly dated finishes, including the carpet which obviously doesn't help to give a good fresh smell. The savory breakfast was excellent and very varied, with little choice of sweets. Friendly staff, although not very flexible: I asked for help booking a train and was told that they knew nothing about trains (?).

The fears turned out to be completely unfounded. I was counting on silence and rest, and that's what I got. There is also space for rest and entertainment (I was the first one to book billiards :)) The hotel itself is very well-kept and the service is at the highest level. Friendly and with a smile - unfortunately this is not standard everywhere. And breakfast was poetry. It is a short walk from the hotel to the center. I remember my stay very well. I recommend it to everyone, whether for a business meeting or a weekend break. If I go to Toruń again, I will definitely choose this hotel. The price is also very convenient - if anyone is hesitant about taking the option with breakfast, I say YES, you won't regret it
