Really enjoyed our stay, the food in the cafe was great, ideal location, just off motorway. The breakfast was lovely . Staff were very helpful .

There is plenty of car parking spaces on the hotel grounds. The staff were friendly, helpful and could speak very good English which was very used as we do not speak Spanish! The hotel is a beautiful old building which had been modernised with consideration. Our room was extremely clean with a comfortable bed. The shower was adequate for our one night stay. The TV only had a news channel availing English, and the TV was an older style so we could not plug in any additional technology. We ate dinner in the restaurant as it would have been too long a walk in the rain. The food was reasonable and the house wine was very good. The cost of the meal though was very over priced. I would stay here again but maybe not have a meal in the restaurant due only to the price. The restaurant staff were lovely.

Ideally located when travelling from Bilbao to Portugal. Very clean, large room with comfortable beds. Staff were efficient at the front desk. Did not use the restaurant. Instead, went across the road to Meson del Douro for dinner. Service was quick. If you don’t speak Spanish translate menu online so you know what to order.

The old house was converted into a homestay. The garden is very beautiful, but there are many ants in the house.

The parador is well located and the facilities are clean and spacious, so they should enable rooms for smokers. What is not recommended at all is the restaurant food. Both the quality of the product and its preparation are not up to the standards of a four-star restaurant and two forks.
