Tokyu Stay Meguro Yutenji
4.2/540 Reviews
Was bracing myself after reading all the reviews here, and it turned out to be better than good. The service is professional, informative and orderly. Arrived a bit early and cooled off in the small lobby where they had a coffee machine to make hot or iced drinks. Small amenities station next to the elevator. After check-in, I opened the door to reveal a cute and cozy place that was bright. When you enter, there is a washing machine, large kitchen sink, small cupboard with two sets of dishes, induction stove, microwave, mini-fridge and electric kettle. Didn't use any of the major appliances. Most importantly, the bed was comfortable, with a comforter, top sheet and 4 assorted pillows. The receptionist explained that there is limited cleaning and you navigate this using the magnetic hotel door signs. If you do have a longer stay, room cleaning has a small fee as listed on the faded hotel folders. Liked that there were a ton of electrical outlets in logical places. There is a small wood table to set up your laptop or have some simple meals, a corner couch and a stool opposite. Wifi was stable and lighting was bright. Judging from the bathroom, this was probably built in the 70s and yeah, you can look for mold and other imperfections like carpet stains, but it's forgivable, because the room was very clean otherwise. The balcony was small enough to just stand and you can see the city lights from the 6th floor. Did hear a kid throwing a mid-day tantrum and it echoed down the hall. Stayed for two nights and would consider staying here again because of the local neighborhood and walkable areas with a good amount of modern shops and restaurants. It's peaceful. You could also walk along the train line toward Naka-Meguro station, another great local neighborhood. Lobby doors are accessed with your key card. Yutenji Temple has picnic tables, a children's playground and is about a 10 -minute walk. The subway is about a 3-minute walk and easy to transfer to the Narita Express when you depart. If it's your first time to Japan, this might feel far from the Shibuya Scramble action. However, it seemed to be good value for the time I booked.
Tokyu Stay Kamata - Tokyo Haneda

Haneda Airport/Kamata
I stayed for the previous night because the flight the next day was early in the morning. I will describe 5 points that were good and 3 points that I noticed. ■ good point (1) The location was good It is a few minutes walk from Keikyu Kamata station. The location is very good. I think there is a big suitcase that doesn't bite. (2) Amenities were neat Some business hotels have cheap amenities, but this amenities were neat. I smelled very good, such as shampoo. (3) There was a smoking room It was an essential condition for a smoker. It was difficult to relax while smoking slowly in the room. (4) There was an outlet on the pillow Some hotels have only outlets around the desk, but this hotel had a proper outlet on the pillow. It was very convenient because I was able to lie down and use my smartphone while charging. (5) There was a microwave oven in the shared space. It was important to warm the celery purchased at dinner. Some rooms seem to have household appliances such as microwave ovens in the rooms. ■ Note that (1) There was no morning call service When I asked for a morning call the next morning at check-in, I was refused to be able to do it at the front desk at first. It may be a risk hedge to avoid trouble with guests when the morning call doesn't ring. However, I felt a little unkind to refuse a morning call at the front desk of a business hotel. (2) The light outside was a corner room. There was no thick curtain in the window in the room, and it was only blind. So the lights outside leaked in the middle of the night. When I went to bed, it was a little bright even if I turned off all the electricity in the room. (3) The room is quite small The price was 4000 yen per night, no bus, only a shower room. I was prepared to some extent, but it was still a narrow impression. It is suitable for the price. It was the best to spread one suitcase for in-flight bring. I think it would be better to check the number of square rice in the room when booking if you have a large suitcase. Overall it was a satisfactory hotel. I would like to use it in the previous night.
Tokyu Stay Nihombashi - Tokyo

Tokyo Station/Nihonbashi/Akihabara/Kinshicho
Because there is no washing machine in the hotel. So it takes ten minutes to walk to the coin laundry. The room is cleaned only once a week. The extra cleaning will cost 1100 yen.And will not clean the used tableware. There are knives, forks and plates in the room.It won't be replaced after spending money on cleaning. It's nice to have a balcony. I feel that there are a few staff in this hotel. It seems that the person who cleans the room will decide according to the sex of the guests. But I feel that they are in a hurry to clean up. There are no restaurants or shopping malls near the hotel. You have to take a bus to find restaurants and shopping malls. The hotel is close to the subway, and it takes 3 minutes to walk. Although the hotel can send luggage to the airport,But not as fast as 711.7-eleven can send luggage. It's too hot in the elevator

Suidobashi/Ochanomizu
Very good value for money hotel next time if you have the opportunity to choose here, there is a family convenience store near the hotel, about five minutes walk from JR Waterway Bridge Station, a little longer walk from Toei Kanda Station, about 10 minutes, the traffic is very convenient, The hotel has a simple kitchenette and washing machine. It is very convenient to travel. You don’t need to bring too much clothes. You can wash clothes directly in the room. The room is very clean. The front desk staff is also very friendly. The only drawback is that if the luggage is a bit small, the luggage cannot be fully opened. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tokyu Stay Shinjuku

Shinjuku/Nakano
It is the first time I am staying abroad solo. And this place nailed it perfectly. The room is slightly small, but overall manageable. I was able to work at the desk with my laptop while having my luggage open. Pros: - Despite being at the front of a busy street of restaurants and bars, I found the rooms to be surprisingly quiet and do not smell of any smoke. (In fact I found one of my favourite ramen store a short 3 minutes walk away!) - It is located near two convenience stores. (In fact one of it is at the doorsteps of the hotel!) - It is located right beside the Shinjuku-sanchome station. While this station doesn’t have the commonly referenced “JR Yamanote Line”, you can transfer to it at Shinjuku station which is one train station away, or a 15 minutes walk from the Shinjuku station South exit. - The rooms are clean, like super clean. It felt like home whenever I returned back to my room. Cons: - Pretty much the only “complaint” I have is the lack of a washing machine for solo travelling room, but that isn’t too big a hassle to be honest as there’s a decent laundromat within walking distance (I personally went to マンボー・コインランドリー) - There’s only limited room servicing which includes emptying the trash and changing of sheets unless you are staying for 6 days or more, or would be ok to pay a fee. Not a big concern to be honest since the room is super clean to begin with. - There are no bottled drinks offered in the room, but you can get them from the kombini or vending machine at Ground level. Highly recommend staying here, and will look forward to staying here again for my future travels to Japan Oh and one small but critical detail : - I appreciate the fact that there’s a room light control not only at the doorway, but behind the bed too so I didn’t have to go walking in the dark when trying to turn off the lights to sleep 😊
Tokyu Stay Shinjuku Eastside

Shinjuku/Nakano
I’m so very pleased I picked this hotel to stay at! The rooms are very comfortable, and I stayed in a “Comfort Twin” room which is definitely bigger than the average in the Kabukicho area, plenty of room to open up my luggage. Having a washing machine/dryer combo in the room was such a bonus, and they give you the detergent for it as a free service. No sitting around a laundromat waiting, just put your washing in and go out for the day! Chromecast to the TV, a microwave in the room, all the amenities you could want. The rooms are spotlessly clean, the staff are excellent, and the location is perfect. I will definitely stay here again!
