Hotel Star Plaza Ikebukuro

I stayed here for 4 nights and honestly had a really good experience. The location is great — about a 5-minute walk from Ikebukuro Station’s west exit. It is in a slightly dodgy love-hotel area, but once you’re inside, it feels totally fine. The staff were super nice and friendly, and check-in was super easy. You just scan your passport using a machine, so no stress at all even if you don’t speak Japanese. There’s a self-amenities shelf in the lobby which was really convenient, and they also offer a free small breakfast. For the price, it was definitely worth it — they serve super fluffy Japanese soft milk bread made locally, plus different yogurt flavors, salad, coffee, soft drinks, etc. They cleaned the room every day, which I really appreciated. They also have a laundry service for 880 yen that washes and dries everything for you. You just hand in the laundry bag before 11 pm, and they deliver it back folded at 7 am the next morning. Super convenient. Overall, a really good stay — great service, great location, and definitely worth the price.

A lot of food , location ok , comes with free breakfast daily, bread, yakult, yogurt and blended coffee machine. The hot chocolate is the best

The location is good but The hotel room is old and dated , the reception barely speak english and don't expect helpful service. Orginal booking was smoking room but the room was too old and i pay in hotel to change to smoking room. Would suggested to look for other chain hotel nearby like Toyoko Inn.

Good location and comfortable rooms. It can be a bit noisy outside at night. The breakfast is simple but filling. It’s located near a metro exit, though it takes about a 10-minute walk to reach the station itself. This isn’t my first stay here, and I’ll likely stay again in the future!

Located very close to the metro station and airport limousine pickup if you’re flying out of Haneda Airport.
