I felt transfixed in time; My room door opened with an actual key. The furnishings and decor, ostentatious but tasteful. I felt like I could have met Humphrey Bogart in the hallway. The hotel had an air of privacy and was peaceful and calm. I also liked the location. I know it was a bit of a nuisance to find, but once you realized exactly where you were in terms of the metro exits, when you walk out of the hotel, you could easily think you’re in the suburbs with your family; away from the hustle & bustle of city life.

Historical great location, scenic magnific night view!
My room was up-grated to 36th floor (so very higher than original room-rate!), so I enjoyed Sunday night panorama (partial harbour view!) of central Tokyo. If you have interest in modern TOKYO (around MEIJI- era),you can take a good walking nearby along SUMIDA river.

Quiet in the bustle, very close to Tsukiji Market. It's an 8-minute walk to Ginza and one stop to the subway. The room is large and cost-effective.

Looking at Tokyo Tower and Mount Fuji, the river view is very beautiful. The store is a bit older. There is a 7-storey shop downstairs, but it is not 24 hours a day. It takes 10 minutes to walk to the subway station.
