Matsunoyama Onsen Izumiya
4.8/52 Reviews
Matsunoyama Onsen, one of the three major medicinal hot springs in Japan, I wanted to stay. The hot water is hot, but when I got used to it, my body strangely adapted and I felt like absorbing the power of the hot springs throughout my body. It was a good hot spring as it was well received. It is also a plus rating that I was able to stay in a clean and clean place because it was a newly renewed guest room. And as expected, the rice shop Niigata rice and sake were delicious. There were many types of sake we handle and I enjoyed choosing. The employees were also good. I would like to come again.

The facilities are relatively old and the service attitude is very good. Breakfast is very cost-effective. It is convenient to shop and eat in the shopping street nearby. We visited in January. It was after the heavy snow. It seemed to be snowy mountains everywhere. 🏔️

I didn't rent a car on this trip, so I wasn't sure if I should stay at an inn near the station, but I'm glad I chose this inn because they also picked me up from the station. There are various dishes using local seasonal ingredients for rice, and alcohol has progressed. When I come back and look at the photos from the trip, I remember wanting to eat it again. I visited in autumn and had various mushroom dishes, but they were delicious, so I wanted to try the wild vegetable dishes in spring. The inn was very nice, the bath was good, and I was able to spend a very comfortable and relaxing time. I looked it up on the web before my trip, and it seems that several inns at Matsunoyama Onsen are working together to develop local cuisine, create an information website, invite famous chefs, and so on. I came back thinking that such an atmosphere is everywhere and creates a good feeling.

I love delicious food and hot springs. There aren't many inns that are very satisfying in both, but there was! Niigata Prefecture is at Matsunoyama Onsen. From Tokyo to Kanetsu Expressway, you can easily go to Yuzawa, but from there, you can go to the mountain road 1 time. It wasn't snowing yet when we went, but just a week later it snowed heavily and it became news, but the Kanetsu Expressway was stuck. It was good to be able to go at the right time. Check in in the lobby after arriving safely. At this time, we will consult for a drink at dinner. Yes, as the name of the inn is also mentioned here, the sake inn 🍶 The husband has the qualification of a sake maker and can pair rare French and sake. But I would like to have wine, but I like alcohol but I'm very weak, so even if I can't drink so much, there is a pairing where you can get sake and wine a little bit. You can bring your husband's choice of sake and wine to match the dishes. I'm not very familiar with sake, but there are many rare things and above all, it's delicious! It was a really happy dinner time. Another main, hot spring, is also of the best quality, and I entered the open-air bath and large communal bath in the room many times. Breakfast is Japanese food with a gentle local taste and plenty of vegetables instead of night. At night, you can have Michelin chef's French, but in the morning, the local mother's breakfast is delicious twice a night! I was able to stay at a very good price even at the time of goto, and my friends who went with me were very satisfied. Ah, when I was looking at the homepage when I would go next time, it seems that it is under renovation, and it seems that the number of rooms will be reduced and it will evolve into a luxury inn. It seems that the price will rise and it will not be easy to go, but it will definitely be again! I want to ask. There are many delicious restaurants in Tokyo, but at the same price, you can drive to Matsunoyama Onsen where you can enjoy the best hot springs at the same time lol

The hotel's own underground parking lot is ready. If it's full, you can park for free in the external parking lot. It's connected to the underground parking lot and elevator. The hall is on the second floor. Guests can leave their shoes separately, and the hot spring is on the third floor. Both men and women's baths are separated if they have open-air baths. We also have a sauna. The lobby sells various souvenirs and you can also buy sake. Meals are prepared on the second floor and are all Japanese in the evening and morning. Buffet is not provided. If you visit on a snowy day in winter, you can enjoy the hot springs in the open-air bath.
