Hotel was very tired and falling apart. But in a fantastic location. Main issues for me was the food, minimal change each day in the menu. They would run out of items early and not restock. The scrambled eggs had a crust. But the dinners were the strangest. Burgers or spaghetti would come but there would be raspberry coolie or something similar surrounding it or soaking into pasta or the bun. All very strange and very unnecessary.

Pros Great location, ski in and just a short walk less than 200 meters to ski lifts. Loads of hot water. Comfortable beds. Nice warm rooms. Boot room with dryers in the ski lockers. Breakfast is acceptable/average. Hotel has free WIFI. Sledges/Luge available to borrow for kids. I Negative The hotel is old and tired. Very basic for a three star hotel, more like a basic two star. The rooms are small, the rooms for four persons have a lack of luggage space. Rooms for two are ok. There is no daily room cleaning, our room wasn’t cleaned once during our stay, we got the bin s emptied daily and fresh towels daily only. The hotel is bigger that the restaurant, if you didn’t book half board at time of booking you wont to be able to eat in the restaurant in the evening and will have to go out. Breakfast is self service buffet and the plates are tiny… the juice glasses are tiny and you have to clear you own plates away. As a result the tables never get wiped down. No ATM/cashpoint and reception unable to change currency. We were unable to check in before 3pm we heard others were as late as 5pm before rooms are ready. No kids club. (there used to be a kids club 11 years ago last time I stayed at this hotel but its closed). No trollies or help to get you luggage from your taxi/car to your room. Sheets not changed during our one week stay. Gym is very small one running machine, and one rower and one bike, Well there was two bikes but one wasn’t working. Would I stay again? Depends on price/budget, we booked first week of easter holiday and as the French children weren’t on holiday it was a cheap week , I paid £1200 for a family of four bed and breakfast, cant moan for the price I paid. If you are able to book it cheap enough and have low expectation then its fine, Id say below average but a lot of ski resort hotels are.

The hotel is very well located close to the lifts at Val Claret. Room cleaning services are almost non existent, however. For the first two days our room on our return in the late afternoon was exactly as we had left it at 8.50 am.. When I politely questioned this lack of normal hotel service at reception I was asked if I had left anything on the bed! When I assured them I had not I was told our room would be serviced the following day. Our bin was indeed emptied, teas replenished and dirty towels removed from the floor outside the bathroom. However nothing else appeared to have been done and beds were left as we had left them in the morning. This may only be a three star hotel, but I don’t think I have ever come across such a slapdash approach in 50 odd years of hotel visits! Food is very reasonable and the salad /entree bar at dinner is good as is breakfast buffet. Hoping that the room service problem is a temporary issue due to staffing problems?

Hotel La Diva, Tignes Val Claret. I have just returned home today from a week there. We booked directly through Belambra’s own website and it was superb, allowed us to easily add the half board option. Check in was so simple, the hotel actually called me whilst enroute to confirm our arrival time. Our booking was for a triple room which was spot on, yes I do feel like others have said the hotel is a little dated and could really do with a brighten up. Saying that we had 3 single beds and it was warm and comfy with regular towel changes and room cleaning. Room had a balcony and partial view of the piste. As for food, we got breakfast each morning between 7:30 and around 9. It was grand, selection included fresh pastry, bacon, eggs both scrambled and self boiled, toast, has browns, fruit, yogurt, cereal and milk and meats. Teas, Coffee & Fruit juices. Dinner was fine for what we paid, It was a set menu of a limited number of items, usually, steak, burger, spaghetti, Tartiflette, Vegetarian, daily specials, veil, duck etc. Dinner was a self service starter buffet of meats, breads, salad etc. Dessert was also a self service, cakes, buns, ice cream and more. Red & white win was unlimited with dinner and was drinkable. Water also available. The hotel had a main bar which was decent, good prices for the Tignes area. Also had a steam and sauna which was lovely. Location is the main reason we booked, it’s so so close to the main val claret lifts, 4 lifts within a few hundred meters and basically ski to door. (Well walk across the road) I will go back here, superb place for the money. Staff couldn't be nicer.

We stayed here the last week of February 2024 as part of a Crystal Ski package. The hotel is, in my opinion, exactly what you would expect for this standard of accommodation. The location is absolutely perfect and this in itself makes it a reason to return. You step out of the hotel, cross a very small street and you are ready to get on the lifts. Because Val Claret is so high we really did get the best of everything up here. Rooms - basic, but comfortable. We had a balcony overlooking the pistes. We did have a problem with the balcony door leaking which meant the carpet was sodden after some heavy snow. We told reception who offered to move our room but this was the day before we were flying home. Cleaning was minimal and it really depended on luck if you got towels changed or not. Easily sorted by nipping to reception. Food - basic but nobody starved. Some days they ran out basic things like scrambled eggs and bananas for breakfast. Evening meal was the same every day (5 choices) plus a daily special. Nice wine and water available with dinner. No real complaints for what we paid. Boot room - awful. It is far too small with nowhere to sit to put boots on and constant having to move to let people past. To summarise - don’t go here expecting 5 star luxury but that’s not what you are booking. I feel it was exactly what I was expecting and for the price and access to the amazing tignes-val d’isere ski area it’s good value, basic accommodation that does what it says on the tin.

We stayed early March, weather was mixed of rain or heavy snow. Our stay at The Diva was very good as it’s always been. Upon check in, we were told that there would be a delay getting our room, due to a high number of guests. Not a problem, the staff stored our luggage and we went for walk around the resort. Upon entering our room, the area was clean, beds were comfortable and the bathroom was clean as you would expect. The room faced the rear, which wasn’t an issue for us as we’ve had stayed here lots of times, so was not fussed where we are placed. The evening meal is buffet and there is a variety of choice, even for the fussiest of eaters, like me. Just make sure you get there early, so you can get a table. The same was said for the breakfast, a high quality and variety of choice. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable and were happy to help. We didn’t have an issue with any noise from the bar below, just wear earplugs if you’re a light sleeper, or ask to be placed at the back of the building. The reception staff are so helpful, friendly and welcoming. No issue with language as a previous reviewer said. We have already booked to return in March 2024 and ready to visit Tignes, and the fabulous Diva in a few weeks time. Thank you for your hospitality. Merci

The hotel needs urgent refresh. Pure design, photos look nice but there's a huge difference in reality. Rooms are very old and dirty, toilet was disgusting upon arrival. The bed is shaky, noisy and the matrices are curved. The receptionist refused to speak English. I DON'T RECOMMEND!

great hotel and great location .We arrived at midnight and reception was great .Breakfast was ok if you want better my view is pay more money for accommodation, this is a budget hotel right on the slopes but after reading people’s reviews they pay lemonade prices and expect champagne . I would defiantly stay here again and rooms where clean and basic but ideal for us three lads ,There is a irish bar right next door which is great and ski lockers where ok bit small but again free .My thoughts are if you want 5 star hotel stay in a 5 star hotel and for the money we paid it was a fantastic budget hotel right in the heart of val claret

First time in this Belambra hotel and it was very good. As part of a Crystal ski package, we arrived late, Sebastian got us checked in quickly, showed us essential areas, then escorted us to our room. He then invited us to eat in the dining room. Our stay was for half board - the breakfast buffet was varied and plentiful. The evening meal of 3 courses- buffet starter, table service main course (from fixed 5 item menu) with a daily special 'plat du jour, a dessert buffet and wine is included. The dining room staff are all very friendly, courteous and happy to help, with special mention to Thomas. The room was more than adequate, the right size, good storage, very comfortable beds, no worries with shower and water pressure and finally a balcony. Cleaned and towels changed during stay. Would we go back? Definitely! Would we recommend it to others? Absolutely. A really enjoyable experience.
