My husband did some research and found that this was a nice hotel with a quaint atmosphere. Apparently, some guests overstate their welcome, and we ended up in a basement type room that looked like an old classroom. The curtains did cover the windows. The bathroom had lots of towels. This place had a bed and a bathroom, and that's my minimum requirement for a stay.

We were rented a room with a known yellow jacket insect problem. We killed more than 25 yellow jackets in the course of 1 night and early the next morning. When confronted, the proprietor admitted that they were aware of the problem but had never shared this info with us. By the time that we discovered all of this we could not switch rooms or move to another hotel due to lack of available rooms anywhere in town.

Customer service was the best ever experienced. Had family emergency. Talked with Joe, he made sure we were able to get a room, also inquired if other family members would need room. Checked in after check in time, but he made sure we were able to get our room. Room was very comfortable with refrig, micro, and coffee maker. Will definitely stay again when in area. Thank you for all your assistance during a stressful time

I Loved our stay at The Stone House. Joe and Leslie are the BEST!!!!!!! Being I am a Hometown Boy I know them well and They have not changed with all the Kindness they could have ever shown. Every time I come into town from Pennsylvania I will be staying there EVERY TIME. Paul Hurlburt

This place is very quaint! Owner seem nice. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable but the pillows not so much. The doors are difficult to close. Maybe they swell up a bit. Radiator heat that wasn’t real warm! The outdoor ground are very clean. Another down side was the front door seems to lock about 8pm. At 8:30am when we checked out no one was around. So we left keys on the desk.

No hotels in Burlington so we stayed here before flying out. Stayed across the street for first night but then full so walked across and asked if they had room (website said full) luckily they did! Always call to check availability. Nothing special but had a bed and shower. We stayed in 17 and water was backwards. Looks like they are redoing and upgrading the place. Nice owner. Said we could use the gas grill and fire pit for free!
