Sunset Bed and Breakfast

Sunset Bed and Breakfast

"We arrived late yesterday after an overly long drive and parked right outsidecthe door, we were greeted by our friendly hosts Glen and Debbie. We were shown to our room which was left at the top of the stairs and entered into a beautiful room, well decorated, very spacious, light and airy with beautiful views over the village to the very nearby coast. WiFi available, tea and coffee facilities, TV and onsuite bathroom. The sunset b&b is very clean and well kept Breakfast was orange juice, cereal, fresh fruit, yoghurt, hot tea and coffee, toast and a cooked breakfast beautifully done and cooked by Glen. After we had settled our belongings and showered we headed out for the evening. Bed is really comfortable We will be leaving Monday morning well rested and relaxed and looked after and having enjoyed the local area dispite the winds and rain from storm Katrina So thank you Glen and Debbie Tip to guests wanting to stay in the area either prebook to eat out or make sure you are in any venue well before 8pm as the majority of bars stop serving food at 8pm and the popular Galleon pub kitchen closes for orders at 8.30pm and if you are not in the queue for food before then you won't get a meal other than takeaway from a couple of local places."

"A board outside advertised a special meal deal until 2pm. We went along at 12.15 for lunch. Lights on, doors locked and no answer when knocked. Disappointing poor service."

Sunset Bed and Breakfast ★★★★
"Immaculate large room. Good breakfast, owners were great in checking for allergens in the food. It is a short walk to the beach front, also a good location to travel to other areas of Pembrokeshire."

YHA Broad Haven ★★
"This should be a 5 star review but.. ill come to that later. We stayed June 18th for 1 night. Mam, Dad, and Son. The location - lovely seaside village close to the beach with easy parking. The YHA is very nice and the staff are lovely. Check in is 5pm in and 10am out. We got here just after 3pm and luckily a room was ready for check in. Cafe / food is good with lovely view of the sea. We had breakfast and some beers which were good and reasonably priced. Lounge / Games room is good with a pool table, bar football, giant connect 4 amongst other things. We drank our own wine in the lounge area. Reception area has some tables and chairs if you just want to chill out. The self catering facilities are good but we did not use them on this occasion. The rooms are neat and tidy. We had a 2 bunk room with en suite shower. Price - £99 for 3 for one night. Now the negatives- When we retreated at around 930pm there were a number of young adults checking in. Throughout the day I saw mostly older couples and people with children staying. There was a lot of noise in the evening particularly between 11pm and 3am. I confronted 2 guests who were having a loud conversation in the main corridor adjacent to the rooms - this was at 1am. It was still noisy in the corridor with people going back and fore in the corridor and talking loudly. This continued until after 3 am. I don't know if staff were on duty at this point but the people making the noise were young adults and showed a total lack of respect to all the other guests. We had a poor nights sleep because of this. Also, in the morning we realised my son had left his hoody in the lounge room. When we went to retrieve it the room was shut. I had to ask a member of staff to open it. They were reluctant to do so and explained the room is full of sick. I said I had to have the hoody back so they did. They were right it was full of sick. At least 2 people had been sick in there as the puddles were a different colour. Probably a chain reaction from the first person. No doubt the noisy young adults had had too much too drink. I hope their hangovers were long and hard. I should have mentioned this to the management the next day in hindsight but we were off to our next destination. Suggestion to YHA - Get better sound proofing on the doors on the rooms and stop the bang evertime the corridor door shuts. We were in room 7 which unfortunately is the room everybody walks past as its the first. "
