Old Hotel, low services, poor heater in the Room, bath room to be renew quickly, dirty Carpet, Poor breakfast ... so many negatives !!!
Positives ... easy parking, available bowling, possibility to have dinner (even if it's not high quality)
Conclusion: need to be closed for Months and totally refresh

Don’t believe all the reviews on here. This hotel is friendly, clean and well equipped. The owner/operator Junior, his partner and staff were all very helpful and nothing was a problem for them. The menu is a little bit limited but there are daily specials and a daily 3 course fixed menu. Just ask and Junior will let you know what it is. Rooms are a little dated but clean and well appointed. To sum up a friendly family ran hotel.

rooms are horrible and out dated the smell is disgusting makes my stomach churn like a mix of laundry powder and sewage one of the staff that I met at a bar once i had left the abomination let me in on a little secret about there little kitchen helpers rats I checked out before wasting my money and strongly advise that you do the same

Stayed at the hotel for one night after a long day journey. I was expecting a more comfortable bed rather than a orthopaedic 'hospital type' bed.

Hotel is stuck in the 70's. Indeed through the bowling alley to your room. Staff not flexible at all. Reception was anything but friendly. Always wanted to have the last word. Comments such as first take a walk through Den Helder, because the room is not ready yet, it still hit the wall. Furthermore, the coffee in the room was not replenished and only the towels were changed. bed not straightened or something. After showering you had to breaststroke back to the room. Water goes in all directions. Shower rod loose, etc. Just everything very dated. Not recommended!!!
