A lovely character building in a peaceful spot. Great to unwind. The pool really helped too. Food was lovey and reasonably priced

Had a great weekend here, staff very polite and friendly and helpful.
The hotel and rooms were clean and tidy, with ample supply of tea/coffee/sugars and milks.
The swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna was clean and available to use by all residents.
Food was lovely and hot and tasty.
Would recommend here and will definitely be returning.

The post code given on the hotel address did not lead us to the Hotel. It was difficult to find as it was inside an estate. The hotel is not close to the road. The sign at the road entrance is not very prominent. When arriving at the hotel, the building looks like a manor of some royalties which was quite impressive. Check in was smooth but there wasn't a lift and we had to haul our heavy luggage up a couple flight of stairs and through narrow corridors. No porters or conceige to help was a bit annoying. The breakfast was standard full english breakfast which was as expected. Lawn areas and many big trees around the hotel does provide a relaxing feel. There is a separate building that houses the pool and gym. This facility was not exclusive for hotel guest and open to people who join their club. Unfortunetely on the day of my stay, there were many people there and so I gave it a miss.

Stayed for one night as family of four. Hotel was lovely albeit a little noisy with Christmas Party going on but it wasn't too much of an issue.
Bedroom was cold on arrival but a quick fix by staff member and radiators were working again.
Facilities in room were great, beds very comfy. Hubby didnt sleep well though due to heavy rain throughout the night, which was very noisy where guttering is broke just outside bedroom!
In fact, there was a broken bit directly above the door meaning you have a shower every time you came through it!!
But overall- pleasant enough stay :)

Booked a deluxe room with garden view and got a room that looked nothing like a deluxe room in the pics and a view of the car park. The chef didn't turn up in the morning so got no breakfast.

Great place to stay. Will use as my go to when in the area on business. My only gripe is there's no room service option for dining. I guess as a positive this makes less anti social!
