We booked 3 nights at this boutique hotel based on the mostly positive reviews on this forum. Our experience unfortunately was not so great. We checked in rather late in the evening at around 8.30pm. We were coming in from the bus station as we had crossed over from Jordan earlier in the day & we were exhausted & hungry. We were looking forward to a few comforts after some hectic days in Wadi Rum. The cab dropped us off on the street out front...there was no doorman so we dragged in our luggage into the small lobby where we were met by Adi at the front desk. He explained a few things & offered us a coffee but we wanted to just get into our room. What I found really strange was we had considerable amount of luggage but he didn't lift a finger to help even me & I was struggling. The room was okay size but the furniture was weird - supposedly designer but just plain Uncomfortable. They provided no baggage racks which meant all the bags on the floor which again is so inconvenient. For any decent hotel this a very normal requirement or at the very least provide a space for keeping big bags. We found that some of the toiletries in the bathroom were obviously used by the previous occupants of the room. The caps were not screwed properly & one of them was leaking. Housekeeping had not bothered to throw them just simply kept them there along with some fresh ones. Disgusting ! The next day I asked for an ironing board. The young girl, I think her name was Miriam looked a bit perplexed at first & then came back after a quite a while with an iron & a dirty old stained hand held board. Made me wonder people don't require irons ? We met the manager Tali the next morning....she wasn't too friendly or hospitable. Miriam was friendly & offered us some coffee. We enquired about a Sim & a Rav card & were told that we would have to look on the street for a phone shop. The location of the hotel is on a buzzing street full of cafes, shops & restaurants so we didn't have to walk too far to find a shop selling the cards. At the hotel they told us that we would have to go 10kms away about 25 minutes by taxi to find a Rav card recharge place. We are very well travelled & that just didn't sound right....the authorities are not going to make the purchase of an everyday travel card so difficult. The guy who sold us the SIM card told us we would find it at the pharmacy next to our hotel. I can't remember the name of the shop but it was literally the next building sharing a common wall. It was that easy....the girl at the counter was lovely & one of the customers in the queue offered to walk with us to where we were going as he was going that way. Didn't Tali know that Rav cards are available next door ? She's managing a hotel & she didn't know this very basic piece of information relevant to all tourists ??? When we came back in the late afternoon we found our room was not made up. The clothes line in our bathroom didn't work but despite repeated requests nothing was do

The room was in a great location, just three blocks from the beach and in the heart of the Dizengoff area, which contains a ton of cute cafes and wine bars and shops! The room was also so much larger than expected, clean and spacious, with a little desk provided, and it had a useful kitchenette as well. The property manager was easy to arrange check in and check out with and they were kind enough to provide late check out so we could stay until we left for the airport. Would absolutely stay here again!

The Jacob Samuel hotel was a great choice! we got a very nice welcome despite the late arrival at 2.30 in the morning ! my friend and I had separate rooms and the manager made sure we stayed on the same floor .the very first night I got a super small room and I was not so happy but after one day I changed to a very nice room -it was really very nice - the feeling of being in the middle of the buzzing city was great. the bar on the lower floor was very nice ,we had some great food and drinks -the bar keepers are good too. the Nespresso coffee in the morning helped me get started . I did struggle with the dashboard which controls the curtains and all lights I must admit. but the shower was fantastic- there is no guarantee , no matter in which category of hotel you stay -it was exceptional ! Yaniv - the front desk manager does a great job -he seems to work around the clock and never gets tired of helping one for example finding a taxi which could become a challenge sometimes in Tel Aviv . the location of the hotel is also great! its about a max. 10 minute walk to the Hilton Tel Aviv beach -so really perfect . so many restaurants and bars on Dizengoff are reachable within Minutes - Thank you Yaniv and Team !

It is totally impossible to park your rental car in the surrounding streets. There is a rental parking some 10 minutes walking away though. The hotel is on a busy street and the windows are not isolating so even if the room is not giving to Dizengoff Avenue it will be a trial to sleep through the night, even with earplugs, at least that was the case for us. The hotel is really easy going with a happy hour with local red wines which really brings people together: we had a nice chat with Brazil, US and Israeli guests. The free coffee is delicious and you can get good pastries from the mini market across the street and eat them while reading your free NYT on the hotel terrace ! Marvelous. The easygoingness also shows in the way the rooms are kept, which is a bit on the brink but still ok. The hotel’s location is fantastic, you can reach pretty much every place in Central TA walking. No breakfast room but you get a voucher for some of the cool places in the neighborhood. We had ours in Sidewalk and recommend that.

The hotel is not bad, the location is also okay, and it is very close to the seaside, it is so expensive. The hotels over there are relatively expensive. In fact, it is equivalent to the domestic level of about 4 stars, or a city with high consumption.

GGuest UserGreat location in short walking distance from Jaffa Old City and Port. We got a very friendly welcome at arrival and this set the tone for our stay which was very pleasant and comfortable. Spacious room and bathroom with good facilities including fast wifi. Plentiful breakfast buffet on the top floor with seating indoor and also outside on the roof top terrasse. Our only query is that smoking is allowed on the roof top terrasse, so we were exposed to a lot of passive smoking during breakfast.

GGuest UserWe stayed at this amazing hotel for 2 nights (16th & 17th May 2023) after leaving our cruise which had travelled from Miami USA and ended in Haifa, Israel. We travelled by train from Haifa to Tel Aviv then got a taxi outside the train station directly to the Shalom Hotel & Relax at Atlas Boutique Hotel. We arrived at the hotel at 11am and were greeted at the entrance door by Yufus? Jusuf? (apologies if i spelt your name wrong) who lead us through towards the hotel reception desk. We were the first of a group from our ship who were due to stay at this hotel (booked by our travel agent) We were a group of 4 friends/2 couples. Within minutes of our arrival we were offered drink refreshments. The 2 ladies chose cappuccino and the 2 guys opted for a beer. These were quickly brought to us plus a plate of fresh baked croissants (told all were complimentary) Our receptionist (who we quickly found out had used to live in UK - Tottenham/London) was lovely, friendly and explained that although we were early as check-in isn’t usually until afternoon she would do her best to allocate us a room asap. We asked what the rooms where like as we hadn’t chosen them (our travel agent had included the 2 night in Tel Aviv in our cruise&stay package) We were informed our agent had booked the whole group into the hotels smallest/cheapest rooms, all with side views… but assured all were clean, comfortable and had all the amenities as the Front back facing rooms. We enquired about upgrading rooms and we were fortunate that we were able to negotiate/purchase an upgrade to 2 beautiful superior spa rooms (with hot-tub) on 4th floor, with sea views, facing the front of this hotel. These rooms were outstanding. Fabulous rainfall shower in bathroom, plenty of wardrobe space, really comfortable super-king size bed, minibar filled with complimentary soft drinks, a coffee/tea machine plus armchair, footstool and the fabulous hot-tub on a raised platform near the window. Also in our room was a complimentary gift of chocolates which was a lovely gesture by this hotel. A great way to spend the final days of our cruise & stay holiday. 👍👍👍👍👍 On the floor above us was a sun terrace equipped with daybed loungers, hammock, rocker chairs and table & chairs, plus gazebo and plenty of extra large sun umbrellas as/when shade was needed. The view from this terrace enabled us to see the sea and enjoy the fabulous sun sets each evening of our stay. This hotel offers it’s guests a fantastic complimentary snacks & drinks “happy hours” from 4pm till 6pm each evening in the ground-floor dining/lounge area. They provided tea, coffee, white wine, fruit juices, a selection of spirits plus an buffet of crisps, nuts, crackers, cheese, hot snacks selection, plus mini desserts of mousse, fruit and/or trifle. The buffet was constantly replenished by the kitchen staff and guests were free to help themselves to whatever was on offer during this time. Napkins, cutlery, crockery and glasses etc were av

GGuest UserI was quite excited to try this new location. My preferred hotel, the Montefiore had no room on these days. I also had friends staying in one of the 6th floor suites, so I got a chance to check it out. Reservation - Painless - reserved one level below the suite. Supposedly a larger room. They were communicative over Whatsup and all seemed on rails. Check-in - A bit weird - the lone guy up front was busy checking out a problem customer and had zero backup. Took quite a while which sucked as I was in a hurry. Room - If that's their 'large' room there has got to be a better description. By all standards it is tiny. Furthermore, I have clearly asked during reservation and at check-n for a high floor less noisy room. Instead got shoved into a first floor above the entrance room which was super noisy. I am afraid to ask what the cheaper rooms look like. From the bed to the window, there are two feet at best. TV Hanging above a cluttered desk. Nice espresso machine but you only get pods once (not replaced every day). Amenities are quite spartan with the cleaning crew making sure you never get more soap until you have finished the open one. Same thing for pods, towels, water. Sorry, that is not how it should feel and a mark of a badly managed hotel. Other - There is a restaurant at the underground floor which is open to anybody and thus creates quite a traffic of people waiting outside the front door all evening long. Same space is used for breakfast, which was mediocre and expensive. While the area is a bit seedy (Alenbi), there are wonderful breakfast locations really close by that are totally worth it.. Not to mention the market itself.. The roof pool in a little wading pool. No views. No bar, no services. Overall - Pretentious for an experience that is way below average for the price. Low floors rooms facing the front are an impossible nightmare of cars honking, delivery trucks and people noise. I had a really bad sleep quality and was woken up early every day. There is also construction nearby. So avoid for a couple of years if you care about your sleep..

Llisa张The room is small, the floor is tiled, not wooden. Such an expensive hotel has no wooden floor and is not graded. The windows are low quality and not soundproofed. Noisy roads can be heard at night. The most terrible thing is that they didn't tell the guests that this hotel was a psychiatric hospital before. The inside was really scary. It felt like the ghosts who died in the psychiatric hospital were still there. Do not really recommend it to Chinese tourists.

GGuest UserLets start with the good. Great location and clean, breakfast was very good. I lived in Israel for over thirty year so I am aware of the Israeli version of ”service”. That being said. We made a reservation at the sister property Leonardo beach hotel, with a sea view room. That hotel was then closed (COVID?) so we were switched to a ”comparable” sea view room at the Leonardo Art hotel for the same price. When were arrived we were informed that sea view rooms were reserved for suites only and that we received an ”upgraded” room- well, this room was a small, dingy, hovel. The price we paid for this hovel of a room was therefore outrageous. The desk staff were surly and when I asked a question she pointed to a handout and said ”its all on the sheet”. Another front desk girl was using an old handkerchief to repeatedly blow and wipe her nose while touching the phone, patrons keys etc... so much for hand hygiene during pandemic. How about a stairwell from the 3rd to 2nd floor barricaded closed by mattresses? Firetrap? (see photo) The safe in our room was obviously broken and eviscerated (see photo) Lastly there is very little signage to be able to find wither the back or front entrance to the hotel and the entrance smells like an open sewer. Just sayin... there are many better options on the Tel Aviv beach. We certainly will take advantage of them on our next visit.
