I have never seen such bad view from any hotel room, Such disgusting back yard. Over all hotel is good. Polite and professional stuff, very good service and great breakfast. Quite good location, on beach side, 200m from sea. I would recommend to check what room do you select before check in

A very nice and exclusive boutique hotel with excellent service. All small details were designed to put the visitor first. Great location, beautiful interior and impeccable cleanliness. Top-class breakfast and drinks. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed The Herbert hotel and would recommend it to anyone. Special thanks to Mr. Nevo Katzav, who offered us the best hospitality experience and made our stay enjoyable. 10 points. Greetings from Estonia, Edward & Marion

This is without a doubt the best boutique hotel i have stayed in. The rooms are small but the hotel staff are big on personality. They were friendly , inviting and I felt like I was staying with family. The rooms were very clean, luxurious towels and bedding. The bed comfortable and great air con. The buffet breakfast is across the courtyard in the Herbert Samuel ( the big sister to the Herbert) Lots of good choices and great service. The rooms balcony looks over to the iconic Tel Aviv Jerusalem beach. I will def stay here again. I could not fault my 16 day stay at The Herbert.

LOVED THIS PLACE! Great location and amazing service! Rooms were clean but very small, especially the bathrooms, with no separation between the shower and toilet, but if you close the toilet seat and move the toilet paper it’s fine. It’s very clean, and people working there bend over backwards to accommodate your needs. The balconies face the Mediterranean and the fountains, with beautiful sunsets. There is no elevator so if you have walking issues you will only be able to use the stairs. There is a parking lot across the street in the Herbert Samuel Opera Hotel on the other side of the fountains, and the same place that breakfast is served. Will definitely be back!

This hotel is really a little boutique hotel. It's quite charming, right on the beach and has great views. Where it falls a bit short is service. The front desk folks are not very well informed, so you are on your own for the most part. Normally this would not matter but tonight is National Holocaust remembrance day and all restaurants in the whole city are closed. The hotel did not tell me this. And when I asked about it, they said, some restaurants are open. Then, when I checked later they said no restaurants are open except at hotels. So, I went to a hotel and they said they could not serve me since I was not staying at the hotel and that is the law. So, I'm super hungry as I write this. Also, there is no elevator, so you will need to drag your luggage. All of that said, it's a nice hotel with a great location.

Nice hotel with an excellent view over the beach and the promenade. Restaurants are in walking distance. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Breakfast next door is very good but the staff in the restaurant are not as helpful as in the hotel. Please note there is no elevator. The hotel is situated on the promenade which means splendid views and sunsets but as well some noise during the night.

I had to really think this one through. The hotel is a boutique gem in so many ways. Across the promenade from its big sister, The Opera Herbert Hotel, the little “Herbert” offers gorgeous full oceanfront views. The rooms are tiny, luxurious and very well-appointed. I did not mind the size at all. I actually marveled at the use of space. The bedding is great. The bathroom and shower are great. Even the towels are notably higher quality than most luxury brands. So what’s the problem? Well, for me, it was the noise. This was, by far, the loudest room I have ever had with one exception when I got stuck with a room across from a truckers bar during a last-minute airport stay. The street noise is completely unbuffered. Noise-wise, there was no appreciable difference between the French balcony door being wide open or shut. The trucks, ambulances, motorcycles and voices were full volume and … I was on the highest floor. A guy just sneezed outside and I said “G!d bless you.” I kid you not. With no ability to sleep, all of the wonderful qualities of the hotel are meaningless, infuriatingly so. It is possible that this was a problem with just my room but that is unlikely. Potential guests should also know that (1) there is no elevator and it is a five-story hotel; (2) the HVAC unit is wonky. It required the management to remotely and exclusively set the unit to heat and only upon my request. Once done, I was unable to regulate the air. Despite the fact that this is unusual (though not unheard of) for Israel or anywhere else, no attempt was made to explain the situation. I would have loved this hotel but for the extreme noise. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable.
