Amazing views from the bath and rooms. It snowed heavily when we arrived and departed and the staff kindly offered to guide guests to the station at 9am. Truly, without which, we might have been in real danger as visibility was poor and it was very difficult to walk and follow the trail when markers are under snow. Snowshoes and poles are available for rent at 1000yen per person per day. Remember to bring your own toothbrushes, towels and yukata/pajamas as these must be bought or rented. Nevertheless, our stay was unquestionably an unforgettable one. I would like to thank the staff for sending to my last hotel in Japan, the spectacles I had forgotten at the sink. Unmatched service. Do not miss out on this chance to make an unforgettable memory!

Most affordable accommodation on Mt Tateyama! Well worth the price with the food, service and view. The main downside for me is that they only provide tatami mats, which were a bit too hard for me. It is also a 15 minute walk from the station, which can be tiring with luggage. They also provide amenities like indoor slippers and rain boots, which was a nice surprise. They charge ¥200 for a bath towel though, so bring your own towel.

Mikurigaike Onsen, the highest natural hot spring in Japan, is the best. The spring quality is a simple sulfur hot spring flowing directly from the source. It was a white hot spring with a strong smell of sulfur. I was healed. The food was also good with dishes that were conscious of Toyama Prefecture. After all, it is the scenery from "Mikurigaike Onsen". The scenery in the morning and evening, which only the people who stayed there can understand, was wonderfully beautiful. 20 minutes from Murodo Terminal is enough to get there. Why don't you visit it? It seems that they also do day trip bathing.

I came on the Alpine Route just after opening to see the snowy Otani. Because I was in Takayama, I stayed two nights at Mikurigaike Onsen with a bed because I was worried about the weather. The result was sunny, cloudy and then stormy, snow and then rain and cloudy. The weather is changeable. It was a time when the alpine route was just opened, so I prepared with winter mountain equipment by referring to the clothes and shoes on the alpine route web page. On the second day, the weather was expected to be stormy, so I went out and stayed in the hot spring. I passed the time in the hot springs during the day. It was the first time I stayed at a mountain villa since high school, when I spent five or six nights in total. I think the times have changed and it has become more sophisticated. There is also freshly ground coffee, which is perfect. It was a bed-type shared room, but the privacy was separated by a curtain and I think it was perfect. I think that I was able to stay with confidence and peace of mind. I made a reservation on the web page. There was a pair of ptarmigans in the nearby Pumice forest, and many people surrounded the ptarmigans and were absorbed in taking pictures. I was surprised and delighted that an elderly person like myself with a chronic illness could stay in a high mountain like Tateyama. Also, I would like to stay at the time of autumn leaves and late autumn when the snow is covered. The scenery I see is another dimension, and I want to meet Raicho again.

Walk about 20 minutes from Murodo Terminal. Since it is a mountain inn, I was prepared for the inconvenience, but it was more than I expected, with showers and hot springs available 24 hours a day, and delicious food. Even though it's in such a high altitude, the restaurant's prices are reasonable, and I was happy to be able to have delicious coffee and cheesecake made with a siphon while watching the superb view. It was crowded with many people visiting for a day trip, but it can't be helped because it's so popular. There were a lot of goods in the shop that made me want them, so I ended up buying a lot for myself.

A long time ago, I stayed there once more than 30 years ago, but this time I booked a private room for my family of four with my child. First of all, this is a mountain hut. It is a 15-minute walk from Tateyama Murodo, so there are many tourists, but basically it is a mountain hut. And if there are people who say bad things about the mountain huts here, I'm sure they're tourists who don't know the mountains. In the past, most of the visitors were climbers, but now it seems that about 60% are climbers. If there are many tourists, it seems that many people misunderstand and expect the same level of service as luxury inns and hotels in the city. Well, first of all, the young receptionist is kind, polite and wonderful. In addition, the food is delicious, there are many items, and it even comes with a hot pot. If you're a mountaineer, you'll understand, but it's pretty high-level compared to meals at mountain huts, where it takes time to get to the ridgeline. And the room, this time I stayed in a private room with my family, but it was about 4 tatami mats in size, and although there were two children, it may be a little small for four people, but it was explained in advance, and it was originally a room for three people. , There is no dissatisfaction at all because 4 people are allowed only in the case of a family. The cleaning was perfect, and the futon was fluffy and comfortable. A shelf is installed by the window, and it is quite convenient for storing small items such as climbing gaiters, sunglasses, and helmets. Hangers are neat and functional. And no matter what you say, the hot spring flowing directly from the source is the best! By the way, not only the receptionist, but all the staff are polite and really wonderful. I've been to a lot of mountain huts in the Northern Alps, but I think it's in the top three. The Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route has become a major attraction, and the snowy Otani has become a highlight, so it seems that the number of tourists has increased, but on the contrary, it may be that the staff have been trained. This time, after spending the night in a snow tent at the Raichozawa campsite, I wanted to take a bath on the last day, so I stayed here. If I write only good things, it will be crowded and I won't be able to make a reservation, so I'll stop here. Finally, if I say only one selfish thing, if there is an open-air bath, it is already 6 stars. Since it is in a national park, I think there are restrictions on site expansion and new construction, and there are costs and management difficulties, so this is just a fleeting wish.

Although it was during the period of heavy rain and flood in Japan when we checked in, there was heavy wind and heavy rain on the top of the mountain. Fortunately, the traffic was normal. Murodo has its own unique beauty under the heavy rain. The breakfast and dinner are rich and delicious. The hot spring is not big, but the official Tateyama hot spring water is quiet and Comfortable, clean, reasonable price!

If you look for an inn in Murodo, I think the price is reasonable for this area. The location is about 10 minutes walk from Murodo Terminal. The room is not big, but there is no problem. Bath and toilet shared. There's also no TV in the room. I was able to use my smartphone because it was connected to the internet. The food was not luxurious, but it exceeded my expectations and was delicious. I would like to choose this accommodation again next time.
