Qo'noq Railway Hotel

Finding the hotel was challenging. Took me circumvate the entire train station twice when I finally called them for direction. Imagine the station is huge & with my luggages & crossing the security twice, even the security were clueless. The front desk lady was sweet & nice to walk out & directed me. That was a huge help. I think they should place clear signages. Check-In process was a nightmare. They couldn’t confirmed my booking even though I have shown the confirmed voucher online. After much deliberation they accepted my booking. Next come the payment. None of my cards was accepted even though i have been using them throughout my 2 weeks travel in Uzbekistan. They would not allow me to check in until full payment was made. Since I only have USD, they insist that I change at the nearest bank. A nice consolation was that a young front desk staff willingly to walk me to the hotel. All these took me around 2 stressful hours walking in & out & around. The hostel is very new. Super huge room, again brand new. Super clean. But I don’t understand why not a single basic amenities was provided; body soap or shampoo. The front desk however promptly provided upon request the following day. I believe most who stayed usually 1-night. The location was almost perfect, if only the hotel guests don’t need to keep going through the security scanning every each time both going in & out. Imagine I’m staying 3 nights. My advice please ensure you have local SOM for payment in case your card is not accepted. The hotel is on the left end of the station (if you exit from the train looking towards the building station) it’s better that you call them once you feel lost as the assist you the direction. Just be mindful that you need to go through the security scan every each time you enter & exit. However, if someone planning a train connection to other cities, this is 100% spot on recommended. I would like to commend on the front staff lady, Dildora for her professionalism & calm demeanour. Thank you.

Qo'onoq Railway Hotel was quite happy surprise. Indeed much better than I expected from a hotel right in the railway station. Quiet, large and clean rooms and location is perfect if you arrive late by train or if you have an early train in the morning. Many cafes and restaurants nearby. Sabina in reception was very nice and helpful. Big thanks to her.

The Qo'noq Railway Hotel was a perfect choice for us, since we were taking train to Bukhara quite early the following morning. As other reviewers mentioned, it is located more or less within the railway station. Easy to check-in/ out with friendly reception staff; our room was clean and comfortable; and had everything we needed. Thank you!

Terrific staff - so helpful. Very, very clean bedroom with a brilliant shower. Breakfast is very generous and delicious.
