MONARCH SKYLINE HOTEL (Closed to the TaiMall)

This hotel is considered a good value for money in the Nankan area. Both the room and bathroom are very clean, and it's right next to TaiMall Shopping Center. If you're working at TaiMall, you can just park your car at the hotel and walk about 100 meters to get there. This is my second stay, and it will likely continue to be my top choice for accommodation in the Nankan area in the future.

The hotel is conveniently located near various amenities, including restaurants, convenience stores, and massage places. For those with kids, there's even Taimei Park nearby, perfect for letting them burn off some energy. Plus, Taimei Shopping Center is just a 3-minute walk away, which is incredibly convenient! The breakfast selection is also very diverse, and the DIY freshly squeezed vegetable juice (with carrots, cucumbers, and celery) is a unique touch. I'd definitely return!

Clean and comfortable. It was very thoughtful that they prepared a breakfast box for me even though I checked out early in the morning.

This hotel is rated five-star, but the rooms feel more like a four-star experience. Comfortable, but lacking a certain luxury. The price would be fair if it were positioned as a four-star hotel. I was pleasantly surprised by the breakfast; it offered a good variety and tasted delicious, comparable to the Landis Hotel I stayed at the day before. It had more options but no smoked salmon. Pros: Good for an overnight stay near the airport, with a 25-minute bus ride to the terminal. The breakfast was excellent. The bed was reasonably comfortable, though the glossy duvet cover and sheets felt a bit low-end. Cons: The room facilities are quite old, probably a 15-year-old renovation. There are no power outlets by the bedside, so you have to use the hotel's slow charging device. Light leaks through the top of the curtains because the tracks aren't overlapped. The bathroom fan doesn't have an off button, but luckily, closing the door mostly blocks the sound. I was in a hurry checking in and out, so I didn't take any photos of the hotel. The picture is of a small fish tank on the hotel restaurant table, which was a nice little surprise.

The room was large, comfortable, and clean, and it's close to the airport.
