What a unfortunate stay. I booked a suite for 2 nights but could only stay for one. It was non refundable, which was fine, the mistake was mine. I never asked for a refund of any type. Despite informing the hotel of my new arrival date (and paying for two nights), they were not prepared for my stay and said so. My room air conditioner didn’t work all night (which is a big deal in Sri Lanka). There was no available coffee until the kitchen opened at 7:30 (despite their website stating a coffee machine). No room service. I called about these issues but was told no one was available to help me. The worst is the GM blames others for the lack of care and response. Hiccups happen, I don’t mind, but a GM who displaced blame sours everything for travelers and staff alike. Nearly 1k spent for my 17 hour stay, which could have been a bargain if they were just kind and responsive.

The manager was very friendly and helpful . He guided us on which beach wd be worth exploring and how one cd reach there in a tuk tuk. The people are friendly and the tuk tuk drivers are willing to drop and pick you up after a few hours too for a pre negotiated fee . The rooms are bright and spacious . And you get beach robes , mat and towels to carry . It’s a boutique hotel , with stair cases . The pool looks good but is a bit shallow . The morning breakfast is literally by the sea and feels wonderful. The bar man goes all out to make cocktails of your choice . At breakfast , it’s a bit disappointing when they tell you that the items you order are not available that day . When we spoke to the manager he said that he would have organised it for us had he known . So next morning they again said no Nonveg was available and the cereal too ! So we insisted that we wanted both and they finally gave it ! The food is good and the general ambiance is great .

Beautiful location with rooms looking out over the ocean. Very friendly and helpful staff. Bar staff very obliging in providing unique cocktails. Food to a very high standard, breakfast and evening meals. The rooms have a unique decor which together with the owl and pussycat themed make this resort hotel a very pleasurable experience. A short trip down the busy road takes you into the heart of historic Galle.

The best holiday! Thank you for organization of our rest. Sri-Lanka and Owl and the Pussycat are our new love! These emotions are priceless, new memories will help to survive our cold winter. The hotel has a very good location, there is a very good and clean beach within 50 metres. Well-desinged suits, cleanleness, perfect service, well-behaved stuff. Only downside, there is not enough variety of breakefasts. All in all, it is a perfect hotel for spending your holiday!

We had a wonderful time at this hotel, the accommodation was clean, the staff really friendly, amazing breakfast with amazing views of the sea. Nice Gym too. The hotel is a little bit away from anything, but the concierge easily helped us get a TukTuk that took us locally for minimal cost. We would definitely go back.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at the Owl and Pussycat Hotel. On arrival we were upgraded to the 2 bedroom suite by the Hotel Manager who made every effort to ensure that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. We had a half board package and our meals were splendid, although with a limited choice for breakfast. Although the beach was rocky we were directed to another beach near to the hotel which was less crowded. Overall an enjoyable stay...

We spent 5 nights at the lovely hotel. Outside the hotel is a rocky beach but you see the stilt fishermen at work. There are beautiful beaches where it is safe to swim 5 minutes away by tuk tuk - a £2 journey. Breakfast is included with some great freshly cooked options. The spicy scrambled eggs and Sri Lankan omelette were delicious. We had a room overlooking the pool - room 11. Staff are super friendly. I really recommend this hotel.

Concerned booking site is a scam. Be careful. Booked and the. Sought to change date by few days and being told it will cost an extra $3000. Have been trying to resolve with hotel for weeks and no response. I think it’s a scamming process. I be been able to move my dates slightly with other hotels but to be ripped off by poor consumer practices and pro communication leaves a very sour taste. Will seek advice about what other consumer options I have .

We didn’t stay at the hotel but spent few hours enjoying the serenity, food and the quirkiness of the hotel. The food was absolutely delicious. Locally sourced ingredients and traditional flavours with lower spice levels.
