From check in until check out it has been a remarkable stay. The Suite had a stunning view, the snack delivered to the room was delicious, the mini bar had a good selection of drinks, while the wines tasted very cheap. The only thing I need to criticise and why I cannot give 10 points is the Lounge experience. First the check-in counter did not give me an invitation to the lounge while I have a qualifying status and only after checking eligibility online I asked for permission to access. During the period of the stay in the lounge there has been no staff, so whenever a snack or drink ran out there was no-one to re-fill and also no-one to clean up. On the other hand breakfast was delicious and the staff very friendly and helpful. Also I liked the long time to enjoy breakfast, as I am not a morning person. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much and we are looking forward to be coming back some time in the future.

Had a wonderful 3 nights staying at this luxury hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the breakfast buffet had so much choice, the bed was very comfortable and the room was cosy and modern with a great view. The location was very good. The spa was beautiful and a highlight of the stay. It felt truly 5 star and I would stay here again.

The historical first skyscraper in Estonia offers breathtaking views over Tallinn Bay and the UNESCO protected Old Town right next to it. Viru hotel has always been the vibrant city hotel where history meets present. Our relaxed and friendly service makes our guests return over and over again. A wide range of different rooms - restaurants - entertainment and recreation services. A large conference and banquet centre. Direct access to Viru shopping centre and an interesting KGB Museum - all under one roof.

In terms of location, you’re unlikely to find a better place. The hotel is located right across from the entrance to Tallinn’s medieval old town. It is also conveniently connected to a shopping centre. The hotel, whilst renovated, is a little dated in keeping with its Soviet era heritage. But that itself lends character. Staff friendly and responsive. Beds very comfortable. The view from the rooftop bar is panoramic and magical at sunset. The KGB museum is worth a visit by itself and a fascinating relic of Estonia’s tragic but ultimately triumphant history. The lady guide for the KGB museum tour was great. Only downside is lack of block out curtains: which are essential in the summer months with the sun setting so late. It would also have been nice if the KGB Museum tour was included in the hotel rate, or at least if a discount was offered for guests.

The hotel is pleased! The room is small / economy / clean, comfortable with air conditioning, hairdryer, everything you need. Breakfast is varied with cold, hot dishes, fresh pastries, coffee is delicious. The water park is beyond praise! I recommend!

One of the best if not the best hotel I've been to. Quiet and clean, we tried to find out what the wonderful smell is in the lobby, but there was no information about it. Everything worked in a hotel room, which is rare. I would give five stars, but a few details bothered me: the soap and shampoo bottles in the hotel rooms and in the showers in the spa area were stiff and difficult to use. In addition, spa is perhaps a bit of an exaggerated term here, because in practice it is a swimming pool and sauna area. The pool is small and at least on Saturday night the youth there were too rowdy (which is not the hotel's fault), more spacious during the week. The customer service was very friendly throughout, although in the breakfast room you sometimes had to point out the cleaning of the tables so that you can eat at them. Upscale Roof restaurant and good customer service. I see no reason to change the hotel to another one the next time I go to Tallinn. Hopefully then I will get the welcome drink that I would have been entitled to as a user of the phone app.

Very ice and cozy place to stay. Rooms are really small, probably more suitable for one person not a couple. Everything modern and comfortable, very nice and modern bathroom, only their mattress was too tough (not American style, ha-ha). They have a very nice lobby with bar and a restaurant . Really close to everything: 2 min drive from bus station, 5-7 from airport, less than 10 min walk to the old city. What I didn't like: staff charged me for an early check-in almost the same what I paid for one day. And I had problem with charging my phone, the socket didn't work or maybe I didn't understand how to use it, it was more complicated than just insert you charger into socket)))) But anyway this hotel is certanly much better than you expect from economy for less than 40 euro per night. If you travel to/from Tallinn by bus or air and want to be closer to bus station/airport, if you're solo traveler or couple but need hotel for 1-2 nights and don't have much luggage, I highly recommend this place
Nestled in the bustling core of Tallinn's city center and close to the magnificent Old Town, a location that is truly great, our hotel guarantees a pleasant stay in one of our 122 carefully designed rooms across various categories. I have no idea why this hotel is classed as 4*. I stayed in a tiny box room where the temperature could not be controlled and was just too hot for me. The window could only be opened slightly which kept shutting on its own accord! The staff did provide me with a fan though, which helped. There was no hospitality tray, which for a so called 4* is a basic. Their description says it’s 5 mins from the town Sq. It is NOT by any stretch of the imagination. It’s at least 15 mins, up a hill, then down a hill. It’s hard work. The breakfast service was an absolute shambles. Everything crowded together in one corner. A coffee machine that took ages to dispense coffee and i only wanted hot water. There was a massive queue for the buffet, then a queue for the drinks. Once you’ve got your food, there was no where left to sit, with people wandering around with plates of food. It was the most stressful breakfast service i’ve ever endured and the whole process took over an hour to complete. i was utterly fed up. Bed was comfy though. If i could have stayed somewhere else, i would have done. Not very pleasant for a holiday experience

Good location, friendly staff, very nice breakfast, awesome spa area, 10 mins walk from the old town, bus stop is 1 min from the hotel
The Mercure Tallinn is a newly-refurbished hotel a short walk from Tallinn International Airport. The Ülemiste Centre, Estonia's largest shopping and entertainment venue, is also right next door. Tallinn Old Town is less than a ten-minute drive away. Plus, free onsite parking helps make guests with cars feel at home. No car? No problem! Plenty of public transport options make getting around easy. Enjoy a perfect night's sleep before or after a flight; the hotel is ideal for business or family stays.

This if former ”Ulemiste hotel”, recently rebranded to ”Mercure”. If not mistaking, some period during and post-covid it was not functioning. From interior/exterior point of view nothing much changed, even colours and furniture remained original from previous hotel. Food quality during breakfast slightly improved, didn't try restaurant onsite, but must say bar doesn't have draught beer, only bottled. Bed was comfortable, sound insulation reasonable. The only downside - permanently changing temperature of water from hot to cold. Parking free for hotel guests. 100m from hotel - large ”Ulemiste” shopping mall with many shops and places to eat. Overall would recomend, if you don't desperatelly want to stay in old city. Myself would stay if price offer is attractive only.

Excellent
GGuest UserGreat Hotel near the gate to Old City. Nice spacious rooms, modern design with nice features, impeccably clean. Amazing spa and pool, 2 types of sauna on top floor with view over Tallinn. Great breakfast with big choice (thought many people, so come early). Tea/coffee/water in the room, quiet. Many restaurant options behind the hotel, as well as 1min walk to enter Old City. You can keep your bags if arrived early or departing later. Really enjoyed my stay.
KKristine SergejevaReally great place very close to an amazing park and the seaside promenade. They have an amazing bistro where the borscht was absolutely divine.
I loved the concept of the coworking space, DIY room and Yoga room.
The only negative comment I have - I didn't appreciate breakfast staff member trying to talk with us only in Russian. She didn't know English and I'm not sure if she knew Estonian. Slightly upsetting.
GGuest UserThe hotel has a great location in the old town so it’s very convenient and the design around the hotel is gorgeous and the rooms have antique furnishings. Maria is extremely helpful and polite when I checked in late after 5pm. Do note that there’s no kettle in the room but a shared kitchen at level 2, sadly when I wanted to use it, the kettle might have been taken by other guests. Will be great if each room can have a kettle or if there is a main water dispenser. The toilet seat is not securely fastened so be careful. The water in the bathroom can easy splash out as it’s a curtain shower for the standing shower. Room slippers, fragrant shower, shampoo, hair conditioner and shower caps are provided.
GGuest UserOur stay was really nice. The staff was great, room was clean and location is perfect. Would like to return and probably will do that. Liked everything that hotel had to offer around that price point. Everything is right around the corner from this place - shops, bars and restaurants.
EenncleMy partner and I visited for a night while in Estonia. Hotel paring next door to hotel 15€ per day. Staff friendly, restaurant wasn’t open only for breakfast. Small fridge in reception with beer, juices. No other bar area. Rooms spacious and comfy bed, air con wasn’t available, maybe not working. Bathroom facilities good. Very clean. Mini bar in room but nothing to make a hot drink. Location was great, 7 min walk to restaurants and pubs. Great building, very nice decor throughout.
李李The decoration of the room is typical Scandinavian style. There is a clothesline in the bathroom (look carefully at the white line in the first picture). The room is well ventilated. The thick socks and autumn clothes and trousers washed at night will dry after waking up I regret that I brought too much clothes. Western breakfast: bread, cheese (and blue cheese) bacon, cured fish skin, sandwiches, fruits, coffee, vegetables, juice. The surrounding shopping and special food are very convenient. The disadvantage is that there is no scenery outside the room window.
CChenweixiongThe Tallink Spa & Conference Hotel is a well-known hotel located in Tallinn, Estonia. It is part of the Tallink Group, which is a leading provider of passenger transport and tourism services in the Baltic Sea region.
The hotel is designed to offer a combination of comfortable accommodations, conference facilities, and spa services. It features a variety of room types, ranging from standard rooms to spacious suites, all equipped with modern amenities such as flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi, and private bathrooms.
One of the highlights of the hotel is its spa facilities, which include saunas, pools, relaxation areas, and a wide range of wellness treatments and massages. Guests can indulge in a rejuvenating spa experience during their stay.
GGuest UserOnline check-in and online check-out. Fast and smooth. Bed was comfy, room clean, all nice and silent. Very affordable price and awesome location. Have been staying there many times and will go again.
MMikeJMJonesThis is a typical 3.5 star European hotel. It is in an excellent location in the middle of the Tallinn Old Town, has comfortable but typically-smallish double rooms, wonderful breakfasts, and warm ac. I would recommend it to couples. However, we would not stay here again. Even though we booked and were fully paid more than 2 months before the hotel stay, we were told on our arrival that our room had been, ”double booked”. We were dispatched to a room with smaller than single beds positioned end to end in a room that resembled a school camp facility. When I suggested that this was unsatisfactory, the front desk person stated in front of other guests, ”That's too bad”. After walking the old town and returning, the manager had placed us in a better room for one night and we then had our pre-booked room for the next three nights. Additionally, the lift does not extend to the 4th floor so it was a struggle carrying large suitcases up stairs and across other uneven floors. Finally at check out, the receptionist insisted that our original payment was rejected by ”their system” so I had to pay again. She withdrew the allegation after I showed her a stamped receipt. She then retorted, ”must have been a system error”. In my opinion, two different staff members could benefit from some serious service-industry professional development. However, other staff were very friendly and helpful; it was a very central location; and the breakfasts were delicious.
