"Wake up every morning to howler monkeys, parrots, parakeets and numerous other birds (and animals). This place is close to the main road (1 km) and yet deep in the jungle. The villas are super comfortable with full kitchens (but no oven - not a biggie). Do ask for the hot water to be turned on for your villa when you check in. Very quiet. Each villa has its own small pool with plants and such providing some privacy. So you can socialize or not as you feel. The beach is just at the end of the road in, although it was pretty washed out when we were there due to extraordinary rain the week prior to our arrival. But Puerto Viejo beach and Cocles are within a 15 - 20 minute drive. If you don't have a car, you can rent a bike or motorcycle or scooter that will get you around very easily."

"A very nice small hotel with great quiet individual units. Gated parking close to the units. Owners were very nice. 3-5 minutes to a beach that was virtually deserted. Unfortunately we saw several men sitting at the edge of the jungle when we went for a walk. We did not feel safe there. So we stuck to well populated beaches after that. Close to a couple of very good restaurants. We would stay again."

"Heaven is a place on Earth! This resort is absolutely superb! Fully immersed in the jungle of Costa Rica with all the comforts anyone could dream of: a beautiful swimming pool, private, discreet bungalows with air conditioning, power plugs everywhere, including at the night tables, mosquito nets at every window, a spacious, comfortable deck with armchairs and a coffe table, coffe machine, refrigerator, a perfectly working Wi-Fi, and a big desk where you can work at your laptop. Vittoria and Paolo, the owners are exquisite masters of hospitality, and the food is excellent. Definitely a place we are going to go back to!"

"Antonia and her husband are excellent hosts that made us feel like at first and last. The night walk was very interesting Jonathan is an excellent guide and with a lot of experience in plants and animals, we had the demeaning to observe a tertiary snake (Bothrops asper), and dozens of ranites of various colors and sizes. We hosted upside a Ceibo tree, in a bubble that had all the facilities to spend a night amen, including a health service. The bed consists of a inflatable bed, and several very comfortable coats that meet their purpose and allow a comfortable night to pass on the top of the trees. The food, delicious, paella is expectacular and accompanied by a delicious blood much better. During the night you feel a peace you can find nowhere else than in the cup of trees. The platform is illuminated by a couple of solar lamps that make it easier to see, but to enjoy magic I recommend shut off all the lights and let them absorb through the forest. The next morning, the adventure continues by rising to the highest of the Ceibo to start the downturn, which is carried out with all security measures. Once on the ground we enjoyed a delicious breakfast and in my personal case a grateful surprise to receive a birthday cake that my wife requested and our wonderful hosts made it easy. Thanks to all the staff at Jungle Green House for a high birthday! "

"This is a piece of paradise! Short walk to beach with very few people. Protected forest strip (I’m told the first 50 meters from water) means this feels like a hidden gem even if there are quite a few cabins along this stretch. Good eating options close by (try the Argentinian restaurant across the street). Don’t come for high quality architecture and craftsmanship (sorry) but do come for atmosphere and environment. It is beautiful (and much better than puerto viejo itself)"

"It is probably the worst place in Costa Rica. Dirty, broken, bad smell, poorly maintained, bad service— the only good thing is nature, and that can be found throughout the Caribbean. If I have to give one piece of advice: Never stay here. The owner is rude, dirty, and disrespectful. Damp smell, rusty, hairs on the bedding... a horror. Far from the town, they say it has a beach in front, and it's dirty. The worst of Costa Rica."
