Die Betreiber: Ein junges Pärchen, sind sehr nett und stets bemüht, einem den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu machen. Das Frühstück: Es gibt eine Auswahl von 4 verschiedenen Typen, diese sind gut bis sehr gut, ausreichend und der Preis ist mit 10$ angemessen bis preiswert. Ein extra Getränk kostet nochmal 2,50 $ Das Zimmer: Wir wurden leider nicht in einem der angepriesenen Baumhäuser mit fantastischer Aussicht untergebracht, sondern in dem noch jungen "Haus Tucan". Die Ausstattung mit Küche und Bad ist zwar gut, jedoch schauten wir von der Terrasse auf eine 2m hohe Hecke. Da wir uns im Besonderen auf die in den Bewertungen hochgelobte Aussicht gefreut hatten, haben wir das Zimmer storniert. Das kostete …! aber wir durften noch 2 Nächte bleiben, bis wir im Ort eine Ersatz-Unterkunft gefunden hatten. (das "El Canto" Richtung Stadtcentrum - bessere Ausstattung, ist sehr zu empfehlen) Wir würden dem Vermieter empfehlen, das Haus getrennt von den Baumhäusern anzubieten, das könnte solchen Missverständnissen vorbeugen. (Und für die Terrasse eine "gemütlichere" Sitzgelegenheit, als auch Beleuchtung) Die Umgebung: Die Lodge liegt ca 2,5km außerhalb des Zentrums von Cahuita, wir würden also die angebotenen Leihräder empfehlen. Der nahegelegene, kleine Strand kann zum Baden genutzt werden, es sind aber keine Bars/Verkäufer oder Schirme/Liegen zum ausleihen vorhanden. The Hosts: A young couple, very nice and always try to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The breakfast: There is a choice of 4 different types, these are good up to very good, sufficient and the price is reasonable to inexpensive at about $10 (2,50$ for the second coffee). The Room: Unfortunately, we weren't accommodated in one of the advertised tree houses with "a fantastic view", but in the still young "House Tucan". The Kitchen and Bathroom facilities are good, but the view from the terrace was a 2m high hedge. Since we were particularly looking forward to the view, which was highly praised in the reviews, we canceled the room. That cost!!! but we were allowed to stay another 2 nights until we found replacement accommodation in town. "El Canto" in the direction of the city centre - better facilities, highly recommended. We would recommend that the landlord offer the house separately from the tree houses, this could prevent such misunderstandings. (And a more “cozy” lighting for the terrace) The surrounding area: The lodge is about 2.5km outside the center of Cahuita, so we would recommend the rental bikes offered (…€/week). The nearby small beach can be used for swimming, but there are no bars/vendors or umbrellas/loungers to rent.
