The room is very spacious. I like a lot of glass. The zones are clearly separated, with every zone separated by a gate if you want to separate them. But if it's not closed, it will penetrate every room. The facilities are very complete. I recommend a good stay.

The hotel is old and needs renovation. However I somehow forgot because the staff was wonderful. They tried their very best to accommodate for requests and was helpful regardless what we asked.
The first night was a bit rough as the rooms smelled mouldy. I requested for a clean of the air-conditioner in both rooms and it helped a lot.
Should this have been done prior to our arrival? Absolutely! But at least they are responsive and try their very best to give you a great holiday.

Ocean Leaf Great hotel, friendly staff, nice room, clean pool and good breakfast. 2 mins walk from a lovely clean Sandy beach. We stayed here for four nights to unwind before our backpacking adventure across Thailand. Do not try and eat within two hundred meters of the hotel if you want a nice and affordable meal, walk up to the main drag. Go Pong is a good choice, but there are lots of others. We upgraded from 2 suites from a package TUI booking pool villa 838 costing about 42K THB for 14 nights in November and December 2022. 2 adults, and 2 kids age 17 and 10 so the privacy of a private pool was one of our highlights of the holiday. This is such a peaceful resort with beautiful surroundings and very helpful staff. Notably Emme, Gift, Mark, Tee, Big, Yuda, Tar, Pecky and Winai. This resort is not within walking distance of town / Biang Nang market area, and a taxi to go there will set you back 300 THB each way from the guys on the beach outside the gate. That's the going rate both ways so don't be conned by a chancer. In the resort there's 2 restaurants, one's a buffet and the Napalai on the villa side of the river and you can eat from both if you upgrade. There are 2 swimming pools, several bars and organised trips to temples, islands, local markets, animal sanctuaries offered from the front desk or holiday rep so you aren't cut off from civilisation by being in such a remote area surrounded by beach and jungle, which is actually a plus point if you're a surfer, nature or beach lover because this resort scores a 10 if that's what interests you. We didn't travel to Thailand for the nightlife, just to chill in some winter sun. There's ample entertainment just 10 minutes away from the resort, in town or Memories bar, but if you want boom, boom, boom and all night drinking go to Phuket instead. I'd definitely return, but not with children.

Large hotel on a beautiful beach.
There are some beach restaurants around the outside, which is very convenient for a lunch snack or dinner. Unfortunately there is nothing else around the hotel, the nearest supermarket is 3 km away. The prices in the hotel are correspondingly higher, although there is a small supermarket for water and snacks.
We had booked a villa. Unfortunately, everything was very worn overall (e.g. stains on the walls, dust and sand under the sofa, stained carpet, limescale everywhere in the bathroom).
The ones on the beach and by the pool should also be urgently replaced.
We were at Kantary 7 years ago and much more emphasis was placed on friendliness and cleanliness. Now you had the feeling of mass processing...
We won't be coming back again.

Beautiful resort with friendly staff.
Mid-size ground so I could watch my kids going between the pool and beach.
Room is basic without a bath tub but spacious even with extra bed, well maintained and clean. Ground floor we stayed was very convenient and balcony space is generous.

Was booked as a birthday treat. If you like organised activities and timetables then it's for you.
On arrival they asked for passports, out to the car to get, then voucher, out to the car to get, then a copy of my credit card.
Really was not happy with that and thought it unnecessary as they had details from booking as the room was paid for,it made me very uncomfortable.
The main swimming pool was large but had only one place to get in so was a long walk.
We ate outside the hotel at one of the many less expensive restaurants. Our view from our room in block 13 overlooked a dilapidated roof of the Thai themed restaurant, didn't compel us to eat there. The room itself was comfortable and clean and we loved the dressing gown, it's our thing. WiFi around the resort was good. Sunset memorable.
A great place for families that like a package holiday. Not for us.

Stay in this beautiful resort only if you’re ready to be spoilt by the amazing hospitality of their staff. It’s located in the middle of nowhere, but that doesn’t matter as the resort itself has everything you’ll need. We took the all in package. Rooms are luxurious, very clean, very well kept. The resort itself is very well kept, pool, beach, bar, playroom. Very family friendly. Stayed here twice, both during peak (March) and low peak(June), both occasions felt very different, i personally preferred the peak, however one thing that did not change was the hospitality of their amazing staff! A special shout out to Kwan for professionally handling the tantrum of a hungry 35yr old (me). Great selection of food in their restaurants too. And when you need a laugh, Sit@Aon will crack you up. Will always come back.

This hotel is in Koala North, 35 km from the pier to Similan. The hotel has no Chinese guests except ours, all are white, the pool is very large, and there are few people on the private beach for a few kilometers. Hotel staff will take guests to dance on the beach. The room is large with 70 square meters and the bathroom decoration is a bit old. The restaurant chef is a white man who belongs to Western-style Thai food. The taste is okay, but the serving speed is too slow. Overall very satisfied, suitable for a holiday stay hotel not to go out.

I booked a regular room for 1,400 RMB a night on Ctrip.
FOOD:
The food was really unpalatable. I ordered three dishes in the picture and took a bite of each one. The taste was wrong and it was very unpalatable! The free bread basket was thought to be moldy. Papaya salad, whoever eats it will be disappointed.
Checked in and waited 25 minutes. There is no service at all.
There were not many guests on the day I checked in. I saw on Ctrip that there were rooms with sea views. I asked the front desk if I could upgrade the room? Answer: No.
There was a very damp musty smell upon entering the room.
When I checked in, I found that the light in the room was broken. People from the engineering department repaired it for 20 minutes while I was present.
Why book this hotel? Because it is very close to the pier to Similan, it takes 40 minutes to drive.
If I go to Similan Island next time, I will definitely not stay in this hotel.

GGuest UserWe spent 10 nights at JW Marriott Khao Lak for our honeymoon and it was absolutely perfect for our needs! An utterly beautiful hotel with clean rooms and facilities and the kindest, most helpful staff I've ever come across in a hotel. Our room was spacious and beautiful, with direct access to the 2.4km pool - this was a great feature and it felt like we had a bit of private pool whilst being able to swim all the way to the main pool. The pool also adds to the feeling that you're in a village community rather than a commercial hotel, as we made friends with our ”neighbours” and would see them from time to time when we were out swimming. The hotel's beach is clean and stunning, the sun beds are thickly padded and comfortable, and we made use of the bodyboarding and kayaking equipment on our stay. The restaurants at the hotel were incredible! The main ones are Ta-Krai (Thai), Sakura (Japanese), and Olive (Italian). Before arriving I was a bit sceptical at how authentic the restaurants would be but the hotel has ensured they've brought in the best chefs who could bring authentic cuisine to Khao Lak. The sushi at Sakura was probably the freshest and tastiest I've ever had (albeit, I've not been to Japan yet, but it's still better than all the London sushi places where we live and even better than Nobu). We loved Olive restaurant too, in particular their Sunset BBQ evening where you're spoilt for choice on meats, seafood, sides, salads, and a full-on Italian cheese and ham bar with really delicious, authentic selections. Chef Enzo there was dishing out cheeses to us and making recommendations what to pair each cheese with and was so helpful (and the cheeses were incredible). We opted for the Breakfast and Dinner package and we're really glad we did as we loved going back to those restaurants over the 10 days. For lunch we'd eat at the hotel cafes, or out at excursions, or at local restaurants adjacent to the hotel, such as Phen's (delicious!). We also bought a spa package at Quan Spa in the hotel and booked in lots of treatments throughout our stay. The spa is beautiful and the massage therapists were excellent; it's a bit pricier than outside the hotel but the spa environment is worth it for that luxe feeling (and still cheaper than in the UK!). Overall, I don't think we found and faults with our stay at JWM and we will definitely come back in the future, perhaps for our anniversaries! And we would highly recommend it to all our family and friends!

The beach outside the hotel is soft and long, and the sunset every day is so beautiful. In addition, the swimming pool and the thoughtful breakfast that can be ordered all day are also plus points. In addition, it was Songkran Festival, and the hotel warmly invited guests to participate in their celebrations, allowing us to spend an unforgettable festival together. Thank you very much. The hotel made me feel refreshed after diving, and we will come back

The location is perfect right next to the beach, and the hospitality of the staff were unparralled. The breakfast was delicious with many options, and my room was very spacious, comfortable. Rooms are nicely done up, clean and relaxing .
Staff are warm, welcoming, super helpful and friendly . Especially Nu who took great care of us . Great breakfast selection and super yummy.
Great setup at kids room which also catered to older kids with Pingpong table , ball machine, arcade games and other selection.
Staff at beach station were super helpful, all ready to help , SUP , boogie boards and kayaks available for use without charge. You really don’t have to go anywhere , just relax at the beautiful Sandy beach. Kids also played volleyball almost every evening with other guests .
Impressive fire show one night
We will definitely come back here .

JJINThe breakfast was plentiful and many choices. Take children to swim and dig sand. If you experience other items, the hotel can arrange to send to la vela without incurring costs. The hotel view is very good. I really got up in the morning to open the window, and I was in a beautiful mood.

GGuest UserWonderfully peaceful and laid back hotel. The staff are wonderful each and everyone we met. They truly cannot do enough to make your holiday special. We had a Grande Deluxe room on the top floor overlooking the swim up pool. It was perfect! The bed was huge as was the bath. Bottled water was replenished every day. The room was also cleaned spotlessly daily. Breakfast was a choice of fruits/yoghurts, eggs/bacon/tomatoes or Thai stir fry. Something for everyone! Bars are dotted around the entire resort. Obviously they charge hotel prices but they all have their own happy hour (actually it’s 2hrs!!). Time it right and a bottle of beer is 70baht and cocktails 130baht. It’s a 10 minute walk into Khao Lak and the start of a 1.5km ***** of shops and restaurants. Alternatively there will always be taxis waiting outside the hotel entrance. You can get these for 100Baht (£2.20). It’s 200Baht if you fancy a trip to the market which is a couple of km further. We left early at 5am and were provided with a breakfast box to take with us which was a nice touch. Overall we loved this hotel and will definitely return. Kha Lak is the perfect place to visit and Moracea is the perfect hotel to base yourselves. Thank you for making our holiday special.

GGuest UserGreat location on a lovely beach. Only 5 minutes into Khao Lak in a taxi (100bhts) or 150bhts for 4 people. Rooms were very spacious. The bed was very hard BUT ask reception and they will have a mattress topper put on straight away, this was much better. Bathrooms were a little dated but everything worked. Found it a little odd to have the wardrobes, kettle and fridge in the bathroom but they are in a cupboard so had no issues with it. The aircon kept the rooms super cool. Pools and bar were lovely, although it was a bit of a sunbed challenge to get a towel on while we were there. The massages in the hotel were super. All the staff were helpful, and seemed very happy We would most definitely go back there, a very relaxing, tranquil, peace of heaven

Bbatterseagirl2019In my whole month in Thailand I have never had such an appalling experience. After a long and hot drive here I was half asleep when I arrived. I just wanted a cold drink but the owner was keen to check me in. I had booked a double room with mountain view on booking.com at £25 per night. The owner advised this room would be very noisy and suggested I stay in a room at the back of the hotel. As I was so disorientated I agreed and paid. He then tried to get me to book tours even though on email communication I had said I’d do this when I’d settled in. When I got to the room is was tiny! The air con was poor and the sheets and towels not clean. I’d also been charged the £25 per night rate. When I spoke to him it became apparent that he’d cancelled my booking.com room and put me on the standard room rate. This small room would have been 25% cheaper on booking.com. To me this is immoral but the owner basically said it was tough luck. I could take another small room but it would be at his rate and not the booking.com rate. By this point I was exhausted and in tears. He just kept smiling which really upset me. I said I would not be staying and he obviously kept my money but he was really aggressive when I asked for my passport photocopy and personal details back which he had no right to keep. This is the absolute worst experience I’ve had in any hotel around the world. Maybe it was because I was a single female traveller. If you are in Khao Lak to dive please do yourself a favour and go to the Monkey Dive Hostel, the staff there are super helpful and kind.

GGuest UserWords cannot describe how disappointed and disgusted I am with Wandee Bed and Breakfast. In my entire life I have never had such a horrific experience at an accommodation. When we arrived we were greeted by a friendly owner. We were informed the air con in our room didn’t work which we were really upset by seeming as we were in 37 degree heat. On arrival to our room we found animal faeces on our bed and pillow case. The wifi wasn’t very strong and the room was very basic which is expected for the price. My boyfriend managed to manually turn on the air con which we were really happy about as the room was so hot. The owner then came knocking on the door and started shouting and arguing with my boyfriend saying that we weren’t allowed to use the air con and that we had to pack our things within 5 minutes and leave the room to go to another room which only had a fan in as she didn’t trust us. It was unnecessarily aggressive and a complete change in the friendly owner we met initially. Me and my boyfriend were so shocked and upset at the way she spoke to us that we decided we wanted to check out and not stay the 3 nights as we didn’t feel comfortable or happy there. She told us we couldn’t get a refund and after more arguing about getting a refund we contacted booking.com to help. She then black mailed us saying she’d only give us a refund if we wrote on paper that we faked our complaint and story to booking.com so she could take a photo and send it to them to get herself out of trouble?! She insulted my boyfriend saying he talked too much and shouted loudly at us. She even threatened she’d call the police as that’s what she’s done to past people who’ve complained. She said she didn’t care if we left a bad review. Her attitude towards us as guests was disgusting and I wouldn’t recommend wasting your money here on someone who shouldn’t even have the licence to run a bed and breakfast business in the first place! We booked our stay here as a lot of the past reviews were very positive even about the owner. But it’s all an act! Her true colours really came out and if you’re a backpacker like myself and my boyfriend there are plenty of other cheap hotels with NICE owners, better wifi and rooms with both a fan and air con you can use to book! Oh and no faeces on your bed (that’s a plus!) You’re in Thailand to enjoy your stay, feel comfortable and happy…this place is the last place in Thailand that will make you feel this way. The owner is a malicious, rude and blackmailing woman who I wouldn’t even dare leave my dog with at her appalling excuse for accommodation.

MMaikThe restaurant staff are nice but the management is poor. We celebrated our New Year in the Hotel with boring experience because of poor preparations from the management. Poor coordination between the guests and front desk staff. The resort is not well maintained. We won’t go back here again in the future not unless they will change.
