【My Stay During a Trip】A Century-Old Hotel in Takeo Onsen Review of Yumoto Zhuang Toyokan Location: ★★★★★ Right next to the Onsen gate. Also very close to Sagahirakawaya, a local tofu specialty store. View: ★★ Nothing remarkable. Facilities: ★★★ The facilities are a bit old, given its hundred-year history, but they are well-maintained. Service: ★★★★★ The staff are all elderly, offering very traditional Japanese service. The elderly lady who escorted us to our room held an English introduction sheet and looked a bit troubled, wanting to explain things to us. But when she heard we were okay with Japanese, she visibly relaxed, which was absolutely adorable. Room: ★★★★ We had the most basic room type, but the room size was still quite good. Onsen: ★★★ The hotel has two hot springs, located on the 1st and 4th floors respectively. The onsen itself is nice; the water felt very smooth. However, due to its long history, there's no open-air bath, and the bathing area isn't very large. Food: ★★★ We only booked breakfast, which was decent and as expected.

The room is spacious and located close to tourist attractions. The dinner and breakfast are good. The reception staff take very good care of guests.

The location is great, about a 10-minute walk from Takeo Station! The roads are flat and easy to walk on. There's a bakery on the first floor of the city hall, which has delicious food, and a fruit shop at the intersection—fresh and inexpensive! Located directly in front of the building entrance, my corner room had a perfect view of the building's nightscape! Absolutely beautiful! The staff were always incredibly warm and welcoming, meticulously maintaining traditional Japanese etiquette for every guest! Although they couldn't communicate in English very well, they always managed to communicate with each other through gestures—fantastic! The hotel has two hot spring baths with a comfortable temperature and ample amenities! Soaking in the hot springs was incredibly relaxing! Two meals are included with each stay, and the dishes are plentiful and delicious! Perfect for travelers looking for a more in-depth experience! A leisurely trip to experience the vibrant atmosphere of Takeo City!

The food was great! The hot springs were fantastic! The staff were incredibly attentive! The hot spring source is right in front of the hotel, making sightseeing very convenient!!

I used this hotel for a business trip to Takeo City. There is a parking lot right in front. The room had a bed, which was nice. The amenities showed thoughtful consideration, as you would expect from someone with experience running a women's hotel. There are two large public baths, and the water quality is smooth and silky, perfect 💯. Breakfast was served with attentive service from the staff, and there was even complimentary coffee ☕. I will definitely stay here again when I go to Takeo.

The hotel is located near the gatehouse and is small but beautiful. It has a limited number of rooms and boasts a history spanning over 300 years. The rooms are spacious, with a tatami living room outside and a bedroom suite inside. Both have separate balconies and bathrooms. It appears to have been two separate suites that were connected. The furniture and other amenities have a certain age, but are kept very clean. Breakfast is served in the second-floor restaurant, offering classic Japanese fare. Hot spring hotels typically offer a one-night stay with two meals, but this time, when booking through Ctrip, they included a plan without meals. The price was similar to the plan with meals included. Be careful not to book the wrong one. Next door is a popular hot spring tofu shop and soy milk ice cream shop.

This is a very traditional, old-style hot spring hotel with over a century of history, located directly across from Takeo Onsen. Although it only has 19 rooms, they are spacious, clean and comfortable, and the staff are warm and polite. There are bathhouses on the first and fourth floors. The one-night stay and two-meal service are all Japanese style. The quality is good, but the portion size may not be enough for a big eater.

The atmosphere and facilities were impeccable. The temperature and quality of the water were excellent, and above all, the hospitality of the staff was fantastic.

The hotel was very clean, elegant, and comfortable, with spacious rooms. However, there were a few minor issues that I hope will be addressed: the daily kettle of water wasn't enough for us as there was nowhere to boil water; and the hot spring room didn't have cotton swabs for cleaning ears.

The hotel is a tatami room, and the service was excellent. I arrived early, left my luggage at the front desk, and when I returned in the evening, it was already in my room and the bed was made. The front desk staff were very helpful in microwaving my own bento box. The hotel lobby was decorated warmly, with beautifully arranged fresh flowers throughout. Breakfast was served individually, but unfortunately, there was no milk.
