Hot Spring Hotel ♨️🏨 Conveniently located and very unique. The room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was soft and comfortable. The front desk service was warm and efficient. The soundproofing was good, and the toiletries were complete. The location is convenient, and my overall stay was comfortable. It offers great value for money, and I will choose this hotel again for my next trip.

A traditional Japanese tatami room with a private onsen, plus a public hot spring area as well. Their body scrub was absolutely amazing — my skin stayed smooth for days! Both the traditional Japanese breakfast and dinner were incredibly generous and delicious. Such a relaxing and authentic experience.

Everything was wonderful! The room had its own private plunge pool, and there were two outdoor hot springs that you could reserve for your group to enjoy without anyone else around. Dinner and breakfast were served in a traditional Japanese style, which felt very authentic. What really sets this ryokan apart is that the main dish for dinner is Hida beef from the region. The service was top-notch; everyone was so welcoming and kind. After checking in, you change into traditional attire, and the hotel provides everything else, right down to facial cream. Thank you for such an amazing experience!

My great experience here with a private open air onsen and in-room-onsen. The food is really good and tasty. The location is convenience by bus. The thing is, if you early arrival, no staff at lobby and it seems to be an unoperated hotel. You will have to wait until 3pm sharp to see reception.

The staff were incredibly warm and attentive, helping with our luggage and giving us a thorough introduction to the facilities. The private hot spring in the room was a real highlight; it was lovely to be able to relax whenever we wanted. Although the room felt a bit old-fashioned, it was quite clean. Both breakfast and dinner were very distinctive and enjoyable.

The hotel boasts multiple hot springs and delicious food, making it perfect for a family onsen trip. The owner provided excellent service, helping with our luggage and even driving us to the bus stop, waiting until we boarded – truly fantastic!

The rooms are spacious , clean and well maintained . The private in-room onsen in the room is the best , the hot spring water was hot enough . There's also an open semi onsen & public bath . No complaints at all! Free parking in front of the ryokan . The staff welcome you when you’re parking . All the staff very polite, kind, and helpful ! Staff can speaks english, no issue of communication. Meals time 6pm for dinner and 8am for breakfast. Receptions will call your room. The food was delicious with big portion . I had a wonderful time. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to relax and unwind. I'll definitely go again.

The drive there was absolutely stunning! It felt like stepping into Narnia! The hotel service was excellent, and the hot springs looked exactly like they did in the online advertisements! I

One of the best I have experienced with ryokan staying. I love a small hotel/inn as it is not crowded. This place answers my expectations. Its location is a bit far off but it is not an issue. It is accessible by public bus from Takayama. Each room has private onsen. It also has 2 outdoor, private onsen on first-come-first-serve basis. There are also public baths for male and female. Room was in good condition. Bathroom is a bit small for me. Only complaint I would have was foot step noise from the room on upper floor. Very annoyed. Food was great. I stayed 2 nights, the hotel provided 2 different types of food - appreciated. Highway recommended.

You can take the Nohi bus directly from Takayama Station, and the hotel is right across the street after you get off – super convenient! The bus ride was a bit long though. The private onsen (hot spring) had a great ambiance and the water temperature was perfect.

Our room was spacious and presented with a private onsen of which we can use any time at our convenience. Because of that, hardly anyone uses the shared private onsen, though the view there is better than that in our rooms. Also, there was no elevator at the hotel, so we had to carry our luggages up and down the stairs, thankfully the hotel only has 2 levels, and the hotel staff were nice enough to help us carry our luggages up into our rooms. Free parking is available, which is essential as the hotel is not situated nearby any public transport. But it is within 15 to 30 min drive to nearby attractions. The hotel was quite strict on the meal times as dinner and breakfast are served at 6pm and 8am sharp respectively. We arrived the hotel late on our first night (around 7pm) and almost missed our dinner (and almost got our room cancelled). We were served hida beef in different cooking style at dinner for both nights of our stay, one steamed and one grilled. Both tasted delicious! All the staff were very friendly and always wearing a grin on their faces. Overall we had a pleasant stay.
