Merging modern chic with traditional elegance, the hotel is a spectacle to behold. With a beautiful Victorian garden immediately to the left of the entrance, a rooftop garden and swimming pool, and other instagram-worthy spots scattered through the hotel, our stay there was like a scavenger hunt for the picture that will get the most “likes”. Vainness aside, the service is most excellent. The concierge kindly answered all our questions about airport shuttle and local breakfast joints, and was very helpful in general. The room itself was clean and spacious, and every thing you can ask for. Heck, the toilet seat was automated to greet us by opening its cover upon entry in the bathroom! The location, only 5 mins away from the train station and standing right next to the Miramar Entertainment Park, is also unbeatable. Everything that we need can be accessed right at our doorstep. The stay was so pleasant that we didn’t want to leave!

Standard room. It’s full house so we were not able to book the room type we wanted. It’s a good experience in general. Even though many tourists visit the hotel as a sightseeing point, all staff are treating everyone with kindness. The signature point is the building itself… every corner is a photo point~ it’s interesting to learn its history as well. Must revisit and will book early to get a better room type next time .

Beautiful interior and helpful staff, they are responsive to the service you need👍🏼Different varieties of food in the breakfast buffet👍🏼 There is Shilin night market nearby and the hotel is walkable distance to metro station, however it is not really located in the city center so we use Uber most of the time.. Overall is a pleasant stay and will book the same type of room next time visit Taipei!👍🏼

The location was the best thing about this hotel! The rooms were clean and good. The service was just a bit disappointing. Even before arriving, I couldn’t seem to contact anyone through email, website or social media. I had to resort to calling international to confirm airport pickup. I spoke to Claire who efficiently made it happen but no apologies for never replying to my mails, no warmth in her voice - it was a preview of service onsite. True enough, we got to the hotel - they checked us in efficiently but I do not feel welcomed. Breakfast was good except again for service. The supervisor seem to be always upset when I ask something like I asked where we can get water - with her voice raised pointed at the table and said “There!” I felt stupid for not knowing! I guess I am just not used to being treated like this in a hotel. Not sure if this is because they have difficulty in speaking English so it was hard to interact? or culture differences? Maybe I had too high expectations because of the reviews I read and everyone received amazing service. The service level is consistently cold and disappointing in the 5 days we stayed. I will not choose to stay in this hotel again.

It feels a little harsh to rate this hotel low, the staff were very friendly and helped call taxis and everything was very straightforward. The hotel is not really near much, all the touristy things I wanted to do I needed to catch a taxi (this is my fault not the hotel, I know). The pool was closed and it was very quiet. I did enjoy my stay but would stay more central next time.

We stayed for 5 nights, a quiet hotel as what other comments mentioned, a nice hotel without many people, as it only got around 40 guest rooms. It has no nearby shops, other than an Italian restaurant (boulevard Café – quite a good restaurant) and a convenient store. We travelled all by taxi, around US12 each trip to and from city centre. To airport, dependent on which route the driver chose, we paid US48 to hotel, and US35. It was not too difficult to wait for taxi, the most was around 10 min. Wifi is fast but stopped for 10-15 min in 2-3 nights during our stay. Our room is not as big as 33 sq m as stated in the website, I think this is around 23 sq m, with 2 beds, a bath room and wardrobe, and a table, a table for the fridge and a cabinet. So there is no sofa in the room, one of us had to sit on the bed. The bath room is spacious with a bath tub. The design is a bit interesting, water easily splashed out making the whole floor wet even they got curtain. Breakfast was delicious and one has to order from the set menu, with quite a no of choices, Chinese and western style. The environment of the restaurant is good, the window is from floor to ceiling on one side of the restaurant, overlooking the road with green mountains in the far end, trees and moving cars outside of the restaurant. Staff was sufficient to take care of my request. There are also free self-serviced laundry, daily supply of fruits and 2 can of cold drinks / 2 bottled water. One can do hiking to nearby parks, but we failed to walk there, and ended up stopped in a restaurant that served chi food but with ponds that allow you to fish the Thai shrimps and baked / consume on the spot. This is a nice hotel and it gives you a different feeling that commercial hotel cannot provide to you.

Because of visiting relatives, I returned to Taiwan at the end of November 2020, moved into Xinkai, and began to live in quarantine for 15 days for epidemic prevention. I believe that anti-epidemic hotels should provide high-quality WiFi and considerate meals to guests who cannot leave their homes. The biggest problem I encountered was that the WiFi would often disconnect for no reason, and it turned into a data plan where I paid for my phone calls. Being trapped in the room is already very helpless, and even the only communication channel to the outside world is unstable. As for the three meals a day, it is not required to include fruit, but it should not be fixed. A small box of fruit is included every Tuesday and Friday, and a box of egg fried rice is served as dinner that day. I was served like this three times. I also have friends who have experienced staying in anti-epidemic hotels. Compared with them, I paid nearly NT$40,000 for accommodation, which I feel is completely worthless.

I was looking for a hotel suite on election night in Taiwan. I called many five-star hotels and got very indifferent service. Among them, Grand Hyatt even hung up my phone (maybe accidentally). Finally, I called Yadu Lizhi, and their phone service made people feel warm and trustworthy. After entering the stay, the service from check in to room service was very satisfactory, and they took the initiative to provide more free bottled water for my three children. Although the decoration of the room and restaurant is no longer novel and a bit old-fashioned, the quality is very good, and even the softness of the pillow is satisfactory. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very good, the music is very particular, although the buffet breakfast is not much, it still makes us have a pleasant Sunday morning. The only thing that is crippling is the air conditioner. I adjusted it a few times and I still feel bored. After all, it is a bit old hotel. But because the price is reasonable, I have no complaints.

I am really afraid of falling down in the middle of the night. In addition, on the table, the bedspreads are gray, like no one has lived for a long time. Ctrip information shows that a room can accommodate up to two people and cannot accommodate an extra bed. So we two big and one small (primary school), booked two rooms. In fact, the beds in both rooms are more than two meters. It took a whole night for the family to spend 1700 for a night.

The service attitude is very good. The best thing is that although we can't check in until 18:00 at night, we can leave our car in the hotel's parking space first. The location is pretty hard for walking from the closest MRT station with heavy luggages, but better with taxi or uber service. Even the hotel is a pretty close to the airport but I seldom hear the engine noise from the airplane. The hotel provided breakfast for me which is very convenient and delicious; including bread with jam, traditional ********* food and also coffee:). My room is on the sixth floor, the room had not much space but It’s still good for two people with big luggages. They provided soap, shampoo, toothbrush, mini toothpaste and also hair dryer too. The receptionist is friendly and polite and she can remember me and also reminded me not to forget the check out time. The location is near Taipei fish market and in the night if you walk pass by the public garden you will arrive to the night market which has a lot of food stores and also boba milk tea🧋.

Pretty decent location and condition for this price. The only defect is probably the check-in procedure. The first step is to contact the staff via Line, which the QR code is above the number lock at the entrance and I saw a couple of people not being aware of it, then provide with them a photo of your passport. After that, you’ll get two sets of passcodes, one for the main entrance and another one for the box storing your keycards. The procedure is alright if you understand written Chinese, and preferably speak Mandarin, but definitely hard if you are neither.
