Taipei Nangang District 4-star Hotels

Hotel staff were very friendly & helpful . The hotel room were clean & spacious . The location is very convenient. Lots of transport to choose . I travel from kaoshiung to Nanggang . I don’t need to take transport to hotel as it’s only a few minutes walk . My first Stay at your hotel is very satisfying So I come to stay again with my family & friend. The Food at the Buffet Breakfast is also great. Their Chinese restaurant is the most I like . So so so good & yummy. So far it’s the best Chinese Cantonese food. I will come to stay again when I’m at Taipei

My wife and I recently stayed at the Amba Taipei Songshan hotel. We had a good time. Upon our arrival we entered with a lot of luggage because from Taipei we would be flying on to the Philippines for a long stay. Thankfully the very nice security guard on the ground floor offered to contact the upstairs front desk and moments later we were helped with our luggage by the very kind Michael Mao. He went beyond the call of duty in giving us personal help with our luggage and allowing us to check in earlier than usual. My wife was surprised by how large the room was and so was I. Very comfortable setup. We didn’t have a view of Taipei 101 but the other side of the building is nice as well. The only problem was that all three days of our stay, the weather was very gloomy with occasional rain. Thanks to Michael for helping with food suggestions, shopping info for my wife and great instructions on how to access the Hop On Hop Off, etc. Unfortunately, we ended up not using the Hop On/Off bus because the schedule is really not great for tourist. Availability of the bus isn’t good. Michael explained that this was mostly due to those Covid years. Perhaps in the future the Hop On/Off will be back to normal as I think most tourist around the world are used to taking advantage of it just to get a quick view of the entire city. I will say that the best form of travel around the city is definitely the subway, which is probably the easiest to use in the world. Its super clean and convenient. Also, as great as the Amba Taipei Songshan hotel is, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention something that others have made mention of and that is the breakfast. Unfortunately, its not a great selection and not very flavorful. I’m one of those people who never adds salt to my food once its cooked. With this breakfast, I was shaking the salt shaker constantly. Also, I think employees/chefs should be encouraged and allowed to be a little more improvisational, if you will. I witnessed several times where someone asked if their eggs could be cooked “sunny side up” but the chef only pointed to the sign with two choices, scrambled or omelette. Sunny side up is not hard to do and probably takes less time to make than an omelette. Also, there’s a sign that says pancakes but in front of this sign is a plate filled with waffles. I assumed that you had to ask for pancakes so when I did, the chef pointed at the waffles. That sign should be changed to waffles only or offer both, which in my opinion would be the better option. Pancakes and Waffles. The area where breakfast is served is very nice and spacious. They should really try harder to make the breakfast just as exceptional. Beyond that, I still very much recommend this hotel as a number one option. Its a great location, the city link is right across the street and the Raohe night market is not far away at all. I recently stayed at Taipei place Hotel and had a fantastic experience. The surrounding area boasted an array of restaurants and shopping options, making it a convenient choice for travelers. The amenities provided were impressive, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating, going above and beyond to accommodate my early check-in request, even though the official check-in time was 15:00. Their exceptional service truly enhanced my overall stay. Highly recommended!

It is very close to MRT Houshanpi Station. When you go out of the hotel, turn right and you will see Cosmetics. Opposite is the 711 convenience store. You will have arrived at the MRT station in less than 30 seconds. There are small food shops nearby, and many people line up in the morning. If you often travel by MRT, the location is very convenient. The interior of the hotel is also very good. The blue door next to the lobby is the restaurant. It provides a buffet breakfast. There are quite a few choices and it is definitely enough. The room is neither too big nor too small. It has a bathtub and only shampoo and shower gel in the bathroom. Probably because they support environmental protection, if you need it, you can pick up disposable toothbrushes, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, slippers, etc. in the lobby.

Near to Nangang Station where MRT, Train and HSR are well connected. Breakfast simple, good enough till fill our stomach. Citilink Mall and Food Terrace are in the Station. Very good hotel for those having Conventions or Exhibitions.

The hotel is far from major tourist spots but close to event place if you are coming for business event. However, location is not the biggest problem. The shower was flooding, we notified the reception and they said the hotel is full no other room is available and that they would send someone to check on the drain next morning. Anyway, the drain was not fixed when we go back next day. But we are only staying for 2 nights so we just gave up and showered in the bath tub. The hotel overall feels dirty.

A good hotel that is well located in Taipei. The ben though the exterior is somewhat dated, the interior is adequate and well kept. Breakfast is pleasant and service attentive. The only word of caution is being given a room that is interior facing and can be somewhat dark in the day time; maybe uncomfortable for those who yearn for natural light.

We booked Sheraton because of its location and name. We booked King Bed, but when we got there they gave us 2 Twin Bed and made a King Bed out of it. They gave us a King Bed room the next day. For Honeymoon we only got 2 small Teabags and 2 small teddy bears. Worst Honeymoon Amenities ever. Breakfast was ok. Good enough. Lobby was too crowded. Restaurants was crowded from morning till evening.

Location for this hotel is good as it’s just beside Wanhua TRA, Metro station just behind it which makes my family to travel around easily. Many great eateries nearby and mini marts too. Hotel room is good, daily room cleaning services with very polite cleaning staffs. Except that the aircon filter needs to be clean up as the dusts are trapped inside the room which can be seen on the bed headboard n mirror. Stayed for 6 nights and everything was great. Very helpful staffs at the reception n concierge counters to resolve our queries despite late night hours. The only dissatisfaction was that lady hotel staff manning beside the duty manager counter on Sunday 17/03/24 noon, we can visually witness her rolling her eyes with unhappy expression when her colleague informed her that we would like to do currency exchange.

Spacious and minimalist. Check-in was quick, room equipped with voice controls and guests get to collect childhood snacks at the hotel’s restaurant. Breakfast spread was good too, lots of choices.
