I really enjoyed my stay at Ximen Hotel! From the moment I arrived, everything felt smooth and comfortable. The room was very clean, well-kept, and had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. You can tell they maintain the place really well, which I appreciated a lot after long days of exploring. One of the best parts is definitely the location. It’s just a short walk to Ximending, so it was super easy to go out for food trips, shopping, and just casual evening walks. The area is lively but still felt safe and convenient at any time of the day. Overall, it was a great experience—clean rooms, great location, and a comfortable vibe throughout my stay. I’d definitely come back and would recommend it to anyone visiting Taipei!

I didn’t expect the building to be multi-functional and not entirely owned/used by Ximen hotel. Anyone can go up and use the elevator (no key card tapping required to use the elevator), and there are no security guards. The initial room I was given smelled moldy, maybe it’s the carpet. The aircon was also old and the wall where it’s installed was shaking. I’m just thankful they moved me to a different room when I asked if they have non-carpeted room available. The new room is much better in terms of smell and cleanliness. With signs of wear and tear on the walls but it’s clean. The humidity was just also high considering the dehumidifier gets filled up in hours. The grandma housekeeper was very nice. Overall, it’s a good hotel if you just want a place to stay and will eventually be out more. I just travelled during the rainy season so I was staying in more than I hoped.

On my last day of travel, I had a layover in Taipei and decided to stay at the Ximen Hotel again. It was as consistently good as ever, providing a pleasant stay. Service: The service was excellent. They offered luggage storage, contacted me via message before check-in, and the front desk even helped me receive a package. The service attitude was very good. Cleanliness: The hygiene was impeccable, very clean and tidy. The room was cleaned daily. Facilities: The hotel is a bit old, and some facilities are a bit dated, but they are all very comprehensive. If you need disposable toiletries, you have to purchase them at the front desk. Drinking water is provided in the room, but you need to bring your own soap. The single room was a bit small, making it a little hard to move around.

Location: Right next to Ximending, but tucked away from the main pedestrian street, so it's surprisingly quiet. It's also just one stop from the HSR station; if you don't have much luggage, you can even walk there. Facilities: It's small, and while there's a window, it faces directly onto the wall of the building next door. This severely limits natural light and ventilation, which seems to be a common issue for many hotels and really changed my perception of what 'having a window' means. My first night, I was so tired that after a hot shower, I slept straight through until my alarm went off – it was miraculous! So I woke up feeling great on the second day. Service: The front desk staff were friendly, and there's a nice lounge area next to the reception. They provide a well-designed map, which I really liked.

The hotel's location is superb, but the cleanliness is absolutely awful. The service attitude is mediocre at best, not what you'd expect from the hospitality industry. The staff showed no emotion or smiles whatsoever.

Hotel location is the best thing, near to Exit 6 of Ximen MRT station, walkable to Ximending and plenty of food choices to choose from. Hotel staffs are friendly and easy to check in and check out.

3-5 minutes to ximen station exit 6, less than 2 minutes from ximending, really easy, free and convenient. We stayed there for 7 nights, other than the convenience, still all about the convenience, no complains about it. We appreciate the beauty which Taipei brings to us.

Pros: Great location, super convenient for dining. The front desk staff, both the young man and the 'a-ma' (auntie), provided excellent service. Cons: The facilities are very old. The bathtub is half the normal size, and water easily splashes out. Plus, the soundproofing isn't great, or something, because there was constant running water from the shower upstairs throughout the night, and I couldn't get any sleep.

It's a 10 min walk from metro ximen exit 6.. we put our luggages in the lobby and came back 6 pm..the staff upgraded our room to a bigger room and beds..good service and polite staffs.the hotel and our room is clean..just a basic hotel..nothing fancy but for the price is worth it.the surroundings are safe so solo traveller don't worry. Have restos around it.but just few walks from metro so just a little inconvenience carrying big luggages..bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste..other toiletries the hotel provides . From our room I didn't hear noises which is good the water pressure is also good.. free coffee anytime at the lobby too

Good enough for a night stay. Very close to famous Ximending area- so price is understandable for Taiwan standards. Nothing fancy.

Good Hotel with a great location near Ximenting Walking Street

Worth it for its price. The location is super near the Ximending Walking District and other nearby convenience stores (711, Family Mart). It’s also near to the famous places like The Red House, etc. Easy access to MRT. For the room, we booked a standard double room, requested for a windowed room & bathtub since we have an infant so it’s easy for us to take a bath, and our request was granted. They also have housekeeping everyday to replenish tissue and change towels (also beddings if you wanted to have them changed, but they support ecological cleanliness, so ideally, they just change sheets after your entire stay for the new guest/s). For the ambiance, it was ok, too. Simple. The only con that I experienced during our stay was- that the soundproofing isn’t good. You can hear the water drops from another room’s CR and heavy footsteps from above. Overall, it was a pleasant stay. Will still recommend it if you’re not too picky and sensitive and wanted to stay on a budget. 👍🏻

Very nice staff, very professional very clean. I stayed in the Hotel for 4days and i did not have any problem at all. Sissi is a very good person in the reception. Highy recommend to stay in the Hotel.
