Y Hotel

Location: Highly praised for proximity to Taipei Main Station , MRT access, and surrounding convenience stores, restaurants, and shopping areas .(based on 15 reviews)

After check in, I got into the room and it had a stale and mouldy smell. I opened the window and realised that the air outside is still as there are 4 walls and the roof was sealed. The front desk managed to change the room facing the road. This room was much better and had a very small balcony with no stale or mouldy smell. Got downstairs on the 2nd day to reserve a car park slot as we are renting a car to tour the North East. Was told by the front counter that I can't reserve the car park slot as it is based on 1st come, 1st used basis. I told her that I already checked in and reserving the car park should be no problem. She said, cannot. Then I asked her where can I park the car overnight in the vicinity. She said she don't know. I asked for the manager and he appeared and said, 'no parking is provided by the hotel. And, I asked him where should I park then. He said he is not sure. I said the very least this hotel can do is to refer to some parking slot nearby. He gave me a few names and I said, I am a tourist how do I know where the parking lot is. He then refer me to the Mitsukoshi carpark nearby. I asked him what the charges would be like. He said, he does not know. I am flabbergasted. This hotel seems to be on auto-pilot and anymore, you are not going to get any answers. I would never book this hotel again.

Very convenient just opposite the MRT line, HSR line is all within reach via the basement malls. Easiest route is M8 exit.
