Shangri-La Far Eastern Tainan was a very grand and pleasant hotel. The lobby had a beautiful Christmas tree and they let us check in early. There were 38 floors which was impressive and the room was big and bright. The beds were comfy and the TV had YouTube and Netflix with many other channels. However, there was some dust on the cupboards and the sofa bed needed money to be turned into a bed. There were many food places near the hotel as well. But go to Anping, Garden night market or Da Tung night market need to take taxi. Overall, Shangri-La Far Eastern Tainan was enjoyable for my family.

Hotel is old. Can be seen through the renovations and wall. The room is spacious and clean. Toilet ceiling is a bit too low though not sure why. Very quiet hotel so it gets a bit spooky at night. Location is surrounded around a few ******s. For it's price I can't ask for more, but I don't think I want to stay here again.

There is a small living room in the family room for 4 people. It would be nice to watch a movie together in the evening. However, all the movies must be purchased at your own expense to watch, and it is clearly shown that you can connect to YouTube, but you can’t watch the movie after purchasing it on your mobile phone... We went to Tainan for a concert, so we wanted to find a hotel with a reasonable price. It happened that we found Taibang Business Travel. We read some good reviews and were not disappointed here. We will find another reason to go to Tainan so that we can stay at this hotel again, but we have not thought of it yet.

In the blink of an eye, today marked the end of my 5 month stay at Changyu. It’s a bittersweet feeling for me. I am finally headed back to the US, but this little compact and quaint hotel had grown on me so much. As a business executive who used to travel worldwide staying at different 5 star hotels pre-Covid, I rarely feel motivated to leave a review, unless i get super upset by something. Except a few selfish guests that smoked in the room next to mine, my stay was so immaculate that 5 months just flew by. It was definitely my “home away from home” as I spent most of my time in Tainan holed up in my room working day and night. The mattress and pillows were very comfy and the room provided everything a typical business traveler would need. The WiFi could be faster but I had no issue tethering 4G from my phone for video calls. The Western breakfast choice for complimentary breakfast was tasty enough for me to have the same thing consecutively for 3 weeks straight once. Next time I am back to Tainan solo, I will not hesitate to call the friendly and caring front desk up and request my room 602 back. See you next time, everyone! Thank you for taking exceptional care of me. TL;DR: highly recommended by a picky traveler. You def get your money’s worth.

Nice location and good service. It’s about 300 meters to the train station. Hotel Tainan is more than 60 years old, the furniture is old and the room is relatively small. The bathroom is small but comes with a bath tub. No hair dryer and no safe in the room. Surprisingly the room key is still old style. The check out time is 11 am. I stayed extra 4 hours from 11 am to 3 pm and I was charged $NT 1130.

Location is just right next to Tainan train station. Very new hotel, and the family room is extremely huge with 2 large king size beds and even a play tent for kids corner. The bathroom is separated with bathtub and standing showers, with the toilet in another room. It even has a walk in wardrobe. Breakfast spread at the hotel lobby restaurant is both local and international, with plenty of tables. Hotel even offers free drinks and supper snacks. Plenty of car rentals nearby.

I recommend coming here...a Japanese style room...soaking in hot spring water before going to bed, very comfortable...only thing is the map on google. Not updating the location of the accommodation...traveling for hours...must study the route carefully before the time to check is over...good thing this place uses a keycard system...press the code as sent in the message...for people IT era 2000 I have to learn a lot this time...
