Hotels near Hiromitsu Ochiai Baseball Memorial Museum in Taiji

This was one of the weirdest hotel experiences I ever had. Due to some traffic delays we arrived at the hotel an hour later than ecpected at exactly 5 mintes past seven PM. The hotel restaurant was open with several tables vacant. However, when we asked to be seated we were asked in turn if we had a reservation? When we said no they declined to seat us as we had missed the reservation deadline (which was seven PM). Us pointing to the empty seats was to no avail. The next morning was even weirder. For Breakfast they only offer a buffet and again we were asked if we had a reservation? When we asked why that was necessary given that it was buffet style with many empty seats we were told ” no Breakfast without reservation”! So we left this hotel hungry.... The room? Was spacious but with a strange Layout. As is customary in Japan you take off your shoes at the entrance (genkan) but the wardrobe is at the other end of the room right next to the window. There was little to store your clothes so despite the large size of the room you basically have to keep everything in your suitcase. A second night stand (there was only one) would have been nice. Worst was the tiny size of the toilet exerbaceted by the positioning of the lamp right above the toilet seat (nothing to worry though if you are shorter than 180cm/6”). Opposite the hotel is a stadium where dolphin and (small) whale are held in captivity- shows are being performed.

Good environment, clean and hygienic

This hotel with half an island, the room is large, clean and tidy. We stayed in the Sunrise Pavilion, facing the Pacific Ocean, you can enjoy the sunrise in the room, but the window is closed, so if you want to shoot the sunrise, it is better to book the mountain pavilion. The hotel is famous for its large and many hot spring caves. It is a good hot spring hotel. In addition, the observation deck outside the mountain hall can enjoy the beautiful scenery of sunrise and sunset. The magnificent scenery surrounded by the sea on three sides. There are restaurants in the hotel. You don’t have to order one berth and two meals. I have breakfast, evening buffet, and the food generally does not have much specialties. But all are acceptable. I have to stay for at least two nights. And you can walk the Xiongshan Ancient Road in the daytime, the scenery is good, there is a waterfall/big monastery/a good place to really relax.

The room in the Japanese style room is not new, but the view was large and relaxed. The dishes were more delicious than I expected for evening breakfast. The volume was also full. I was glad that it was not a yukata but a room dress or a disposable slipper, not a vinyl slipper. The card attached to the slipper in the public bath is unkind. Why is it broken?

From furuzagawa station, cross the bridge and go to the mountain side a little along the furuzagawa River. I regretted that I stayed overnight because it was a rumor that the food was very delicious. Still, there were many good places such as the size of the room, amenities such as bathrooms, and cleanliness of the toilet. There is a note in the color 々, there is hospitality and warm atmosphere. Also, the lady general is very warm and interesting! The photograph was taken when I took a little walk around the inn. It is a place where nature is beautiful and peaceful.

For a westerner this is a bit of an odd place. Its quite easy to list its deficiencies- there is no bar, no place to sit in the Sun and , I’m afraid to say, we did not find the food vey palatable. Elsewhere in Japan we have steered for the small local restaurants with no English menu - we’ve loved the food but not here. The best you can say about breakfast is that you can construct a bacon butty but as for dinner … well we had pot noodles in our room most nights. A question of taste I guess. Why 5 stars then? Firstly the staff are marvelous- went the extra marathon never mind a mile , simply the best. Secondly our Japanese style room high up above the river was fabulous with awesome views of the river and oodles of space. Even loved the futons. The outside onsen is a great place to chill, if that is the word for a hot spring even if you have to wear an item of clothing which is a cross between a kilt and a loin cloth and does little to cover your modesty. ６ On the weekend of mid-middle, I was disturbed with my wife and parents. The location is just below the Kushimoto City to climb the high ground and overlook the oedo Onsen story. The seaside rooms, the public baths, can see the vast Pacific Ocean and bridge pile rocks. The room used is a family room on the ４ floor. It is a space that was wide 々, but the old-fashioned unit bus and the dirty window make a little mood. And it is a non-smoking room, but it smelled quite a cigarette, so it would be good to check in advance if you are not good. The public bath has a considerable size in the inner bath and the open air, and even if there are a considerable number of people, you will not feel the tightness. Asahi from the open air is a great view. There is also a dry sauna with about ５ people. The meal was a seasonal meeting, but both the quality and quantity were satisfactory. Breakfast is a buffet style of local food. The best thing about this is the staff's customer service. Check-in at the front desk, orders at the restaurant, explanation of the dishes, check-in at the store, and any one was pleasant and refreshing. Thank you and the staff for this stay. Relax in the large public bath overlooking Kumano Sea.

Only cash is accepted, which is not convenient. The location is okay, the public transportation from Kii Katsuura to Daimonzaka and Nachi Beach is fairly convenient. There is a FamilyMart convenience store diagonally across the street. There is not much food and the environment is very comfortable. We ordered dinner included, which was quite rich and used to eating. Breakfast was more difficult to eat. The eggs were raw. And there are also time limits for breakfast and dinner. Bathing time is limited. Bathrobes and towels are charged separately, about 200 yen each. The service attitude of the hotel staff is very good, although the language is not good, only a little English. Hot water is provided in the hotel lobby. The room door is not soundproof. The overall external environment is suitable for leisure and vacation, but internally, considering various restrictions, it will not be chosen in the future.

A thousand and thousand-hiro location where there is an inn when you pass through a small tunnel. The receptionist is envious of feeling premium. The location with ocean view is also quite good, but since it is in the harbor, the waves are calm, but it is different from overlooking the sea. The room I stayed in was a Japanese-style room type. It was made with a feeling before the renovation, but it is enough to spend the night and consider that the main body is a hot spring. Meals are standard buffet style at Yukai Resort. Among them, there are many local dishes and local gourmet food. In addition to seafood, there are dishes using mandarin oranges and Kumano beef. Breakfast is also buffet style, and you can enjoy self-service bowls, local udon noodles, and handmade French toast. The hot springs are small in terms of the size of the hotel, but I am very satisfied because there is a bedrock bath. The bedrock bath is a reservation system and is a change system every hour. It is a system that writes the name at the time when you want to use it. It was the end of the year, but it was a weekday, so it was vacant. In addition, there are manga corners, massage machines, and kids corners, which are perfect for spending time like a super public bath.
