Han Guan Motel
4.2/537 Reviews
You can't specify the room type. I didn't get the room I wanted. The equipment feels a bit old, but the price is not expensive and the neighborhood is convenient. I didn't have time to eat breakfast, so I can't comment yet.
Fullon Hotel Lihpao Resort
4.7/565 Reviews
Living in the Lihpao Hotel, it is very convenient to go to the water park, and the land park is also convenient. There are also discounted two-day tickets in the hotel, but the high-altitude facilities of the land park will be suspended due to safety issues in rainy days. The breakfast in the hotel is very rich. The fly in the ointment is that the Internet is not stable, and there are many things that need to be paid to play. It is not a free facility in the hotel, but the swimming pool is not bad. After checking out, you can continue to play until three in the afternoon point, this is pretty good, you can spend a three-day vacation leisurely
Star Moon Brigade

The room is very clean, the hot spring bathtub is also very large, if you want to play in Libao Paradise outlet for two days, it is recommended to live here, very close to Libao, the location of the homestay is suitable for tourists who drive, parking is also convenient, the night view is beautiful, you can see the night view of the city, breakfast is delicious, The fly in the ointment is that the air-conditioning in the room is very cold, and it will still be fixed at 24-22 degrees after adjustment. You may have to ask how the counter has adjusted it.

Taichung Railway Station/Miyahara Dessert Store
It is very near to Taichung Train Station, about 3mins walk. There is a big mall nearby. The hotel room and space are clean and no odd smell. Their staff are friendly. I like the space at level 1. Cozy and free flow of coffee and ice tea!
KUN TOUR HOTEL

Fengjia Night Market
I live in a three-person room, in order to take the children to visit Fengjia. The room is clean and comfortable, and the sound insulation in the room is good. Small ok small balcony, the price is reasonable for me during the summer. I highly recommend this room, and I attach a picture of the view from the balcony☺️

Fengjia Night Market
Was given a bigger room but it has a funky smell. Requested to change a room but they denied until I had to give them a 2nd call right after they hang up. They asked someone to come over to check and upon acknowledging the weird smell in the toilet, they say just let the smell go away on it's own with freshener. I had to reject the housekeeper TWICE before they let me change another room which is much better. No smell and cleaner. They should've given this room from the start. Service is terrible but the location is just beside Fengjia Night Market which is a plus point. There is a bus stop just below the hotel that goes to Ruyi to get some snacks shopping done. Breakfast quality is bad but sufficient. No high expectation on the breakfast.

More about Taichung

Introduction to Taichung

With a harmonious blend of traditional and modern, natural and urban, Taichung is home to both bustling markets and peaceful parks.

Tips for Travelling to Taichung

Taichung International Airport is the city's primary gateway, though travelers also arrive via the high-speed rail from Taipei or Kaohsiung. Taichung is served by an efficient bus network, and the city's bike sharing system is another convenient mode of transport.

The official currency is the New Taiwan Dollar (TWD), and credit cards are accepted at many places. However, carrying some cash is recommended for night markets and smaller vendors. The primary language is Mandarin Chinese, though English is spoken in many tourist spots.

It is advisable to check visa requirements as they vary by country.

Popular Attractions in Taichung

Don't miss the whimsical Rainbow Village, known for its colorful murals. The National Taichung Theater and Fengjia Night Market, one of Taiwan's largest night markets, are also worth a visit.

For nature lovers, the stunning Taichung Park and tranquil Zhongshe Flower Market are must-see attractions. Art enthusiasts should explore the Calligraphy Greenway and the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts.

Weather, Best Time to Visit, and What to Wear

Taichung enjoys a warm, humid climate year-round. The best time to visit is during fall (October to December) when the weather is cooler and dryer.

Light, breathable clothing is recommended. Be sure to carry a raincoat or umbrella, particularly during the rainy summer months (June to August).

Choosing Your Ideal Hotel in Taichung

For luxury accommodations, consider the Windsor Hotel Taichung or the Millennium Hotel. Budget travelers might opt for the Taichung Box Design Hotel, known for its unique design and affordable rates.

The Beacon Hotel, located near the National Museum of Fine Arts, is a great option for art enthusiasts, while the Holiday Inn Express Taichung Park is conveniently located near the city center and provides great value for your money.
