A city hotel with a children's playground and rich brunch. Staying in a superior triple room with no window or bathtub on weekdays in November 2023. The room is novel, stylish and clean. The lobby is spacious, the staff at the counter explained in detail, and their attitude was great, which is worthy of praise. The ice-warm water dispenser is in a small room next to the lobby on the first floor. Breakfast is Phoenix Food Hall brunch, a multi-national buffet buffet. It is served from 7 am to 1 noon. The meal time is two hours. The dishes are diverse and there are six kinds of fruits. Unfortunately, the quality of the fruits is not very good. The specialty is Starbucks Coffee and Haagen-Dazs ice cream. The parking lot is located in the basement of the hotel building from B2 to B5. The entrance and exit are on Yanagawa East Road. There are many parking spaces, but the parking lot is not dedicated. When the occupancy rate is high, it may be full and there will be no parking spaces. Tenants can park for free for 24 hours. Would like to highlight an issue we encountered with regards to our deposit and certain charges that were made to us but which we had not incurred. When we were checking out, we asked to have a look at our statement of charges as we understood that any additional charges would be offset by the deposit placed with the hotel. We had dinner at ”The Prime -Grill and Lounge” on one of the nights and just wanted to check if the charges were right. The statement showed 3 separate bills that were not incurred by us and were all purchases of alcohol, which we found strange. When we brought this up with the front desk, the staff did not seem surprised at all with the error or sought to verify the same anywhere nor were we given any apology for the mistake. It was as though she already knew that those 3 charges were unanauthorised transactions and said that the hotel would rectify the issue with the bank in respect of our deposit. The front desk was also very adamant to not let us speak to her manager about the issue. We just wanted to highlight the above because we would usually just trust the hotel to refund the right amount of deposit without checking, especially when using credit card to pay the same. But it may be worth checking when it comes to this hotel as based on the reaction which we got from the front desk, it seems that such mistakes whether intentional or not have happened before. We also hope that the hotel would do some sort of investigation into how issues like this could happen.

Staying at this hotel is the most comfortable time I have been to Taiwan so many times. Very rare hotel has a small independent balcony, you can have sunlight in. The bed was very clean and tidy, and the bed was very big enough. The overall environment is like entering a forest surrounded by trees, so the surrounding environment is very quiet. The only downside is the aging smell from the carpet. I believe the hotel has not actively steam cleaning the carpet regularly, thus resulting in the strong smell from the carpet. I assume all other rooms’ carpet should be smelling the same as ours as this require steam cleaning to remove the odour. Other than this, everything is near perfect!
