Fengjia JinRui Hotel

We arrived at the hotel with our two kids around 3 PM. The front desk lady, without even looking up, informed us that check-in wasn't until 4 PM and that parking instructions could only be given after 4 PM. So we waited in the lobby, and as soon as we entered, we saw several large cockroaches scuttling around, which was quite alarming. But then, after sitting in the lobby for a bit, huge cockroaches started crawling everywhere – not just one, but many! My kids and I screamed in fright, but the front desk lady remained completely unfazed, as if she was used to it. Then, when we got to our room, we found hair on the toilet… The hallway carpets were filthy, and the next day, my child had a nosebleed all day due to dust mite allergies. Ctrip, how much profit are you making from a hotel that costs over a thousand yuan a night, if you're selecting places like this?

The room was also very clean and comfortable, with no strange smells. The only minor issue was a pillar in the middle of the room we stayed in, but otherwise, everything was fine. The air conditioning was great, and the bed was very comfortable.

The room was spacious and pretty clean. However, some guests didn't follow the no-smoking rule, and I could smell cigarette smoke in the middle of the night, which was really annoying. Other than that, everything else was generally good. I'd choose to stay here again next time I'm in Taichung.

I stayed at the Jinrui Hotel in Taichung's Fengjia area this past Sunday. Overall, it was an inexpensive option for a one-night stay, but the details were just mediocre. The room came with bottled water and was generally simple and clean. Noise from the adjacent room wasn't particularly noticeable, but I could hear people walking and chatting outside when they were near the door, so the soundproofing was just average – not very quiet. During check-in, the front desk insisted on using only an ID card for registration, disallowing other forms of identification, which I found a bit odd. I also felt that the front desk staff weren't particularly fond of being at work. The parking lot is located behind the hotel and incurs an additional fee, though once paid, you get unlimited in-and-out access. However, the parking sensor design is a bit inconvenient; you have to get out of your car to swipe your room card, which is a hassle for drivers. Furthermore, the Wi-Fi was practically non-existent. Although it connected, it showed 'no internet access,' which was quite a shame. Considering the price, there isn't too much to complain about, but if you're very particular about soundproofing, parking convenience, or internet access, I recommend adjusting your expectations beforehand.

The hotel was very clean, and the bedding was soft and comfortable. When we encountered the traffic restrictions for out-of-town vehicles, Ningning at the front desk quickly offered suggestions and helped us solve the issue. The facilities are complete, and the location is convenient for getting around. Very satisfied! Highly recommend.
