OKU Hotel Taichung

An absolutely fantastic hotel! It's understated, luxurious, and grand, with meticulous attention to detail everywhere, truly embodying a people-centric approach. I absolutely loved it! The bar is very cozy, and the staff are all polite. Special shout-out to Emily at the front desk – she was incredibly warm, friendly, and professional. After checking in, we casually inquired about the Dajia Mazu Temple, and she provided us with very detailed transportation information. Later, after dinner, as we passed by the front desk again, she specifically handed me two handwritten schedules she had specially prepared for the return local train from Dajia, along with recommendations for delicious nearby eateries, all within walking distance. She deserves high praise! 👍🏼 If I ever come to Taichung again, I will definitely stay at this unique hotel.

One of the most pleasant surprises among all the hotels I've stayed at during my travels these past few years. The room was incredibly spacious, and having a separate bathroom and toilet was perfect for families. The sofa was comfortable and clean, the bedding immaculate, and the mattress offered just the right firmness for a refreshing night's sleep. Breakfast was definitely a highlight – a wide variety of dishes, fresh food, and an elegant dining environment. We almost changed our travel plans just for this hotel; it was a pity we only stayed one night before having to move on. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in Taichung. Superb!

The hotel is beautiful and brand new, a renovation of an old department store. There are too many mirrors and shiny surfaces in the room, which made sleeping at night a bit uncomfortable. Downstairs, there's a rather run-down night market street with some snacks. The surrounding area consists of older, dilapidated buildings, creating a striking contrast with this very nice hotel. There's a professional hair salon downstairs that offers a very comfortable hair wash service – definitely worth trying! 👍👍👍
