The hotel facilities are old but the cleanliness is alright. The receptionist woman doesn’t know how to speak english so it’s just a bit bothersome. It took time for her to give me the tickets to the buffet. She asked me to talk to someone on the phone which is weird. But the buffet is good. Tons of varieties.

Good hotel Good break fast

I stayed in room 315. I originally booked a Japanese-style double room, but upon arrival, they upgraded me to a Japanese-style quadruple room. The front desk staff were friendly, and there were two parking lots available. Although the room lighting was dim and the facilities and decor had a dated feel, I decided to give it a try since most hotels in Taichung around NT$2000 on weekends don't have great reviews. The reviews for this hotel were generally positive. The overall experience wasn't too bad; the soundproofing was good, especially considering it faced a main road. However, the elevator and other people's footsteps were quite noticeable outside the room, as were the sounds from the bathroom in the next room. The noise decreased after nightfall. Aside from that, the air conditioning was cold enough, the hot water was consistently hot, and there was a bidet toilet seat. The bed didn't trigger any allergies, so it was a good choice for business travelers seeking high-quality accommodation.

The cleaning was inadequate; upon check-in, I saw a beverage bottle cap used by the previous guest, and there was sticky residue around the refrigerator. There appeared to be chili oil on the plastic cups in the bathroom. However, because of the good location with parking and the friendly staff, and because the chef put a lot of effort into the breakfast, which was very delicious, I would choose to stay here again next time.

The environment is simple and clean. There is parking available. The service is decent. The location is also good.

Very clean and quiet. The MRT station is right at the intersection in front. The front desk staff were very helpful and even upgraded my room. They also reminded me to stay away from the elevator, which was super thoughtful! I would stay here again next time.

This trip was mainly to attend a Dharma assembly, and I had the opportunity to stay at the Xinfu Hotel. This is my nth time staying at this hotel. The parking is very convenient, the front desk staff are all very polite, the rooms are very clean and tidy, and there are refreshments in the lobby for guests to enjoy. The price-performance ratio is good, and the breakfast has a wide variety of options for guests to choose from. It's great! I would definitely stay here again next time.

1. I booked a Japanese-style suite for two, but upon entering the room, it turned out to be a regular four-person room. Only after contacting the front desk did they say the tatami area was under renovation, and they had already upgraded me for free. LOL… What's the point of upgrading to a four-person room for just two people? The renovation wasn't a last-minute plan, so why did they even accept the booking? And they didn't inform us of the situation or communicate our wishes beforehand. 2. The bathroom water pressure was extremely low, the hot water temperature was inconsistent, the showerhead's placement was strange, and the water pressure was so low that I couldn't even get a proper rinse. I had to hold the showerhead myself the whole time.

I checked in on July 12th. It was originally a double room, but it was later upgraded to a spacious and comfortable quad room with a sofa. The bathroom water pressure was quite strong. There were two parking spaces, although the second parking lot was a bit far, but at least there were no extra charges. There were plenty of empty spaces that day, making it convenient to get in and out. The breakfast was Chinese style with a good variety. It met my needs.

I like the retro Showa-era atmosphere and the calmer vibe of the town compared to Taipei.

It's very close to the city center, and there are bus routes to various attractions. Next time I could stay an extra day and take the bus to see them.

Breakfast is my favorite part of my recent stays, and I would definitely stay here again just for the breakfast! 👍

It's possible to stay here, but we hope the hotel can remind other guests to speak softly after 10 pm and move around quietly in the room. We stayed in a four-person room, and those of us who are light sleepers could hardly fall asleep.
