YEHS Hotel Sydney CBD

It was my birthday and I wrote as a request if I could have a room with a nice view, and to be honest, sometimes staff does not read those notes. But the amazing staff of the hotel read it and I got a super amazing room, and even got a bottle of wine and a little sweets as a gift. That made it a very, very pleasant and amazing stay.

Thanks for the convenient stay, near the train station (Townhall) I’d recommend to first time travellers to AU since it’s in CBD area. Also staff is nice and accomodating.

Convenient as it is walking distance to Town Hall Station and other attractions. Can get straight to the airport without change the train line.

We have been lucky to receive a free upgrade to a family room. We absolutely love the location close to all shops and QVB, Chinatown, Townhall etc. It’s a busy location thus till the next door bar close, we can hear some background music. We are very grateful with the luggage storage service after check out, we get to walk around and explore freely. A great location for a stop over with basic amenties before we head towards other places.

I really love this hotel. Perfect for traveler/tourist. Near tourista spot/ for shopping and restaurants.

YEHS Hotel Sydney CBD is in a very convenient location, right in the heart of the city. It’s close to the light rail, Chinatown, the Chinese Garden of Friendship, and many bars, pubs, and restaurants. Central Station is also nearby, which makes it easy to travel to other parts of Sydney or the airport. International plug was a pleasant surprise.  We booked this hotel for one night between two other stays, as extensions were not available. The hotel feels more like a backpacker-style property. The room was quite small (as shown in the photo), and the bed area was compact. Some rooms are advertised with windows, but the window cannot be opened and only faces the wall of another building. The standard check-in time is around 2–3 pm. The staff offered early check-in around 12–12:30 pm if we liked them on Instagram with their individual names, which was surprising and not a standard hotel practice. Overall, the location is excellent, but the hotel is basic and best suited for short stays or solo travelers who just need a central base in Sydney.

DON’T STAY HERE - The hotel is situated next door to The Sydney Club, music and bass is pumping from 9pm-3am. We were on the 8th floor at the top of the hotel and the bass from the club was so bad it was vibrating the windows. The TV didn’t work, tried to speak to reception about it but all I got was “the booking never promised a smart TV” we couldn’t even get normal free TV. The hairdryer was all melted and definitely not safe which was worrying. I’ve attached photos of the “City View” but should be called “crack alley view”. Lastly, we requested a room away from the lift, I know this is just a “request” but we were put in the room directly opposite and closest to the lift. Don’t trust the advertising photos…

Great staff. Right in CBD provides access to all areas. It’s was a great stay, as it was in proximity to Vivid as well
