I first stayed at Sydney Hilton in 2006 and the quality is still of that high standard after many years. It’s always great to meet good people, I always look forward to be welcomed by reception staff. On this occasion, Alisa was exceptional. When I asked for a specific room, which was unavailable, Alisa offered a room upgrade, which came with executive lounge access. This was greatly appreciated, as the Lounge on the 36th floor is one of the highlights of staying at the Hilton. It really did make my stay much more memorable. Well done to reception staff, and Alisa particularly. Good job. Darren

The hotel has a convenient location and a strong sense of design. It is very convenient to charge mobile phones. It does not require an adapter. This is very touching. It is relatively economical in service investment. There are not many people and it is casual. You have to call to ask for tea spoons and slippers. Recommend the hotel for dinner. The sandwich is huge and the bread on it is delicious, but nothing else is special.

Although my room was very nice and what I expected, unfortunately my overall experience was not very pleasant at this hotel. The staff at the front desk was not only rude, they actually suggested that I find another hotel during check-in because I pointed out a fee discrepancy (credit card surcharges) that was not disclosed during my booking reservation on Trip.com app. Meriton properties doesn’t disclose before, during, or after the reservation (Trip.com) that a credit card usage fee will be added, and that’s dishonest in my opinion. What’s disappointing is the attitude I get for pointing out Meriton’s mistake. First they pointed to the sign on the front desk, however I didn’t make this reservation while standing in their front lobby. Second, they said I should have booked on their website next time where it’s disclosed—perhaps then Trip.com should remove them from their approved hotel list. Finally, to learn of the policy while I check-in by pointing to a sign at the front desk, and then being told that if I don’t like the policy that “I can checkout and take my business elsewhere”, was the last straw and is the definition of horrible customer service and poor resolution management. They could have handled this issue differently and just said, “we will look into it and try to do a better job of informing our customers of our policy online. We apologize for this miscommunication.” They did email me afterwards with an apology but they still didn’t acknowledge their dishonesty in not disclosing their credit card usage fee on Trip.com app.

Had a staycation for one night on Friday 7th October as a surprise for my partner’s 40th birthday. We loved it! We were really impressed with the service and the quirky aesthetics. The reception staff were so helpful and friendly. We were given complimentary drink vouchers for the Gowings bar but unfortunately didn’t have time to go so we will be back soon for a drink! Definitely felt more like a more personalised boutique hotel experience compared with some of the big name chain hotels that have more of a standard corporate vibe. I booked the QT king room with breakfast included and we ended up staying in a room on the 10th floor which felt spacious and luxurious and had a view of the QVB. Felt very sound proofed, couldn’t hear any outside noise at all. Pillows were a little soft but the giant king bed more than made up for that. Really liked the option of having breakfast downstairs or room service. We took advantage of having the breakfast delivered (I ordered via the QT app) and the food and coffee were both surprisingly good. We have decided that QT Sydney will be our staycation hotel for special occasions. Looking forward to our next stay!

The hardware condition of the hotel is good, the bed is very comfortable, and it is very fast. In addition, the hotel's breakfast is very good. The disadvantage is that there were a few bottles of wine missing in the minibar on the first day. After telling the front desk, I didn't get any feedback. Then on the third day, the coke I bought by myself disappeared in the minibar. It was the first time I stayed in a hotel and found this situation. It was still a 5-star hotel, and it felt too unsafe. In addition, it is quite incomprehensible that there is no bathtub in a 5-star hotel

I organised a group get together of 74+ year olds. A reunion 50 years after medical school graduation. Everyone was so happy. The GM Klaus was very corporative in arranging a 'gala' dinner for us in a separate room. The desk staff courteous and helpful. The rooms were small - but very elegantly designed. The lighting subtle and pleasant. Beds comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. THANK YOU

4 night stay for Vivid. Chose this as an Accor member and that it was close to the Harbour. Upgraded to a Prestige Suite, Club benefits and was not disappointed. Yes the building is not new, it’s not like the shiny new hotels in town, but it’s solid and my sleeps were uninterrupted and rarely heard noise from the hall. My Suite 930 was spacious, clean, well appointed, Sofitel Bed topper and electric sockets to plug in my adapters to charge. Like other reviews no USB ports but I’m sure most sensible travellers have an adapter. The Club Sofitel access was the perfect addition. Early check-in and waited with a hot tea while my suite was made up. It was 9:30am but the room was rushed and 30 minutes later I was unpacking. Evening canapés and drinks from 5:30pm. Table drink service by Alley and her dedicated, personable, attentive team. They remember your preferences pretty quickly and it became an oasis from Vivid hoping and sightseeing. My suite completely blocked out the light and slept through 2 alarms, it’s the Sofitel Bed topper. Breakfast at Club Sofitel, peaceful, plenty of options to choose from, salmon and capers to a great gluten free station, eggs cooked to order and a great way to start the day. Try the Dilmah Blood Orange and Eucalyptus tea. Thanks Lara. Afternoon Tea served from 2:30 and daily sandwiches , scones, cakes and complimentary drinks, tea, coffee and soft. On entering the Club Lounge, always a friendly greeting, your preferred drink served and a relaxing space anytime of the day. The Club team really made my stay, they work really hard to make your stay great. Housekeeping always made up my room before my afternoon return. Always a Bonjour as you walked past them in the hall. My stay was great. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The Lobby is grand and the history of this hotel makes her great. Not the newest but I prefer tradition and good honest service. Definitely not the style of hotel for everyone but my expectations were met and exceeded beyond imagination. Club Sofitel is a must. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I am giving 1 star to this hotel as its not possible to go lower than this! I had an extremely unpleasant stay in this hotel..very rude staff, tiny room like a shoebox, frequent issues with internet describes my stay in this hotel. Today morning ( Oct 29th, 2022) Internet didn't work at all for 3-4 hours, I called reception to complain and the lady at reception was very rude, she mentioned that Internet is complementary so we can't guarantee that it will work!! This is 2022 our whole life depends on Internet, I was on business trip and this bad quality internet made my life very difficult. Rooms are shoebox sized,while sitting on the bed, if you stretch your arms chances are that you will reach both sides of the wall .. Lol! Lady at the reception was extremely rude, I have been travelling around the world, never experienced such rudeness from someone in hotel industry, its weird, looked like she was on a mission to damage hotel reputation. I had booked a wake up call in the morning. . Despite of confirmation no one called me. They simply don't care! STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL

Hello! I am a guest in room 8203. During my stay in the hotel, I felt the warm, friendly and considerate service of your hotel staff, which made us feel like family in the cold winter. Special thanks to the staff responsible for the cleaning of Room 8203, who clean up carefully and conscientiously for us every time. When the weather turns cold, they take the initiative to replace the thick quilts for us. There are not enough drying racks, so they take out their own clothes hangers for us. The room The door card was broken, and I contacted the engineer to repair it, and provided us with a lot of help. I hope that the leaders of your hotel can praise her, and thank you again!

There is a free coffee and milk tea machine on the second floor, but no one seems to take care of it. The sound insulation effect is average, and people's voices in the aisle can be heard. Overall, it's okay, after all, the price has an advantage and the location is good.

Value for money in the heart of the city without being ”budget”. This is a very nice place to stay within walking distance to everything. Secure car parking is available but you have to book early for that as there aren't many spaces. We found our room to be perfect for our needs and not too noisy. We stayed for 1 night and had the buffet breakfast. Requested for a cot and a high chair upon check-in and they were ready when we got in to the room! We booked the two-bedroom deluxe, they were interconnected and very spacious with a modern kitchen. The room was clean and there was milk in the fridge. Our room didn’t have a nespresso machine though, such a shame because the details said it should. The tv remote in the main room wasn’t working but we only stayed for the night and it didn’t bother us. I like that they have robes and slippers ready to wear. The beds weren’t very comfortable though, we all struggled to get a good night sleep. Check-in was a breeze, all the staff were so easy go talk to. The car park was on-site which was great. The hotel’s location is its best feature as it’s so close to everything — train station, woolies, restaurants, cinemas etc. it’s even connected to Regents Place at Level 10. I could not fault the staff. They are just so friendly and accommodating, always with a smile on their faces. They were also very quick go respond. The breakfast buffet was amazing and food was great, although it was disappointing that they still charged us full walk-in rate $32 instead of pre-book $28 each even though I told them that I tried to book online and via phone and spoke to Vincent. That’s why I’m only rating it 4/5 stars. Will return soon though :)

Overall room was clean, however the USB port in the bedroom did not work, the alarm clock was not set and had an extremely annoying buzz, resulting in I had to unplug it anyway. The directions to the parking was extremely poor, no mention of a lift being used or what to expect. I suggested a flyer could be done to answer any questions for customers needing to use the car park service. There was little to no engagement of the staff about this and were only able to restate the poor information that was already given. I felt like a number and not a paying customer. It would seem your attention to details is lacking, and this would flow down from management to floor staff.

This place is amazing! The rooms very clean and spacious. Staff were amazing and helpful throughout our stay, always gives you that happy smile. Easy and fast check in (Aimee) and check out (Janelle). Location is close to everything. Breakfast here is a must, so delicious. Highly recommend and will definitely come back again.
