Gaikou Lodge

Fantastic weekend with stunning venue, great service and awesome food, would recommend to any small group, we were 24 people and we could have the place to ourselves. The food was really good and plentiful and Janeska did a sterling job to manage all the requirements. The rooms are beautifully decorated and just what we needed, some privacy but also a place to get together around the pool.

Everything was on point and I would recommend it to all and sundry . The staff was amazing and so accommodating

Although the online pictures show this to be a nice place, it by no means serves it justice. the lodge is well kept, friendly staff and the surrounding mountains are just amazing, Next time we will plan to stayed longer :)

Wonderful stay. Like being at home abroad. Great breakfast. Really can’t fault it and hope to be back next year.

Setting is breathtaking, accommodation is spacious, clean and very comfortable. Easy access to the town. God base to explore the area.

Hotel at the edge of Swellendam in a fantastic scenery and within walking distance of the town. Nice and spacious apartment and great (and big) beds. The whole place good benefit from a little refurbishment and paintjob though. Breakfast is good and staff are friendly.

Gaikou lodge is in a wonderful part of Swellandam. From our terrace we could look on to the gardens, forest and mountains it was very tranquil. There were some lovely walks around the grounds or you could access lots of treks round about. Our room was very well appointed with a very comfortable bed and a separate seating area. The terrace was covered which was appreciated as during our two day stay there was a lot of rain. Tea and coffee facilities and a fridge in the room were an added benefit. The breakfast room was pleasant and the choice good and freshly cooked to order. The staff were very pleasant and helpful with ideas of things to do in the area.
